Yeah, those birds are just plain annoying. From gave them extremely small hitboxes, perfect tracking attacks and forcing you to lock-on to even be able to hit it only for it spin the camera around constantly.

Also at the 4:40 mark when you come out from that site of grace where that Erdtree avatar was in haligtree, if you have black knife armor chest equipped, you can run up almost near the door way and summon your mimic without aggroing any of them, then run out once he spawns.

I never finished watching your full playthrough and its a shame I'm a year late. But Throthgar, I wish I could've told you about the Urumi whip. To kill birds and annoying flying enemies, whips are the best at dealing with them. Urumi will hit anything.

I think Tyr would've been much happier going the greatshield and thrusting weapon route. That's what I use and didn't struggle with a lot of these enemies, like the birds. Once I learned how to properly use a shield the games difficulty went down by half, not just hiding behind it but how to use the guard counters the right way, what guard boost does, how to manage stamina, what attacks to dodge instead of block and what attacks can't be blocked like grabs and plunging attacks and when to turtle up and when to blitz.

Omg I so feel your pain with the platforming sections I do not understand why they would do that with such a bad jumping mechanic. The jump is good for combat but when it comes to platforming you have to be perfectly precise.

As of 12:00am midnight on Friday May 13th, no less, 2022, I beat the game! Age of Stars with Waifu Ranni! Took me 3 times for Radagon/Elden beast, 2 for Malenia, 2 for Godfry/Lou the Whore, one shotted Fire Giant and Gideon, 2 for the Dragon Lord (Plata-douche-box), saved Melina, quelled the Chaos Flames and got all the mending runes, armor and every collectible weapon related to story dungeons, not the rememberances, used most for the runes, only got Blade of Miquella and Giants fire, bought all legendary armors except Rennalas because I'm a dude. Ended at level 195ish. Yeah all in all 10 outta 10 as a first blind playthrough impression! Game of the year material for sure! On to NG+!

@@dhaumyagango1076 No magic, just katanas and my mimic. Everything maxed which I worked for as I did for the level I was at. Used every rememberance for the runes and duped them at the mausoleums. Used pickled gold fowl foots and gold scarab to maximize rune out put and grinded my ass off. No humblebrag or whatever u call it. I just got gud scrub. So don't try to gatekeep when the game is designed to be played however the player ie ME wants to play it. Ps I don't go online so I did everything by myself with the tools the game provided. Sounds like ur MAD bro. Why did it take you like a hundred tries to best Malenia "the hardest boss" because instead of leveling up and learning to use mechanics in your favor you rammed your head into that wall till it broke huh? Im a fan of work smarter not harder. So take your negative bs to a different comment thread kid.
