Bryan Cranston disciplining player behavior within the campaign instead of a passive aggressive discord post. I like this!

I thought this would be a great way to demonstrate one way of dealing with a problem player 😅

Commenting for algorithm not all ai stuff should be labeled as drivel or slop when it can be all about how you use it to enhance creativity without cutting hundreds or thousands of jobs. I often wonder if like voice acting cod trollers 7 years ago made a presidental dnd podcast and it was like this. It wouldnt be labeled as ai content and wouldve inducted a large audience perhaps? Prolly don't help that alot of ppl are consistently lazy with AI, making the greater creators not shine as bright.

Not gonna lie, that was pretty railroady, especially the part where he still succumbed to the snakes (emphasis on _snakes_ of all things) despite passing the throw to get them off, and not even letting him save roll with the third round of snakes. And to basically say that if he continued to chase after the guy instead of going back for the others, he’d have to leave the campaign. Yeah that’s kinda bad DMing, regardless of how you try to twist it and say that it was the characters choice (even ignoring the clear ultimatum presented).
@nathanparis35736 ай бұрын
Yeah it was, but with his warrior's oath it would make sense for him to return. If he was to continue on after the cultists, and if I was dming, I would ask him to leave my game. He has been very very disruptive and forced two other players away. Not a good team player is he in a game all about team play.
@montelt71036 ай бұрын
@@nathanparis3573 Technically he didn’t force them away, he just continued without them. But I see your point.
@GiacomoSorbi6 ай бұрын
@@montelt7103, I mean: first of all Donnie and his banter carry this show much more than the rest, IMHO, so hard to part ways for long. Also, technically he was given an option and it was matching his character: if somebody plays a paladin and the DM reminds them of their oath when they choose to go for the treasure coffers ignoring chained prisoners on the wall, that would be kinda similar and not too "railroady", if you ask me.
@montelt71036 ай бұрын
@@GiacomoSorbi He was forced through an entire psychological episode despite being fully awake and there being no triggers to start it, was overpowered by _snakes_ despite clearing both saves and was essentially told he’d have to leave the campaign had he not “chosen” to go back. That is 100% railroading. Also yeah the DM can remind the player of their oath, but they can do so without railroading as it’s still the player’s character. And no, the illusion of choice doesn’t count as an option. There’s more I could say, but I really don’t wanna go into it if I don’t have to.
