This is my first time viewing this and I agree with Tyrese. However Christians do not believe in horoscopes. I'm not judging but only stating the truth. But for the most part Tyrese is an amazing man with an amazing anointing on his life. God is not done with him.

Come as you are is more a church saying. I haven't seen in it scripture. I do believe God wants everyone to come to his house as they are but He wants us to leave the sinful lifestyle alone and leave in the past. It won't happen overnight but if one truly opens his heart, mind, and soul to Jesus then he will walk away from his sinful ways.

Now, I like Tyrese too, but as Christians we got to watch what a person said, I heard lots of claps for the comment he was a Capricorn(astrology), we are not, as CHRISTIANS to follow that stuff, (Deuteronomy 18; 9-14), finally, THE WORD OF GOD IS TRUE, AND FINAL, NO COMPROIMISING..HAVE FAITH AND GROW IN 'JESUS CHRIST'...LUV YA!!!

I am sure Tyrese believes in God, even Jesus, but we think that is the same definition of a Christian. Its not. I appreciate Tyrese' search for truth and acknowledging the source of his talents, but a Christian is a "follower of Christ" -- not a follower of money, follower of people, or follower of "the sexy" - but the person who will only go where Christ would go. Of course, its never too late to become that - so I pray God continues to capture His heart fully :)

Paul said he became all things to all men. And he never put down his salvation. Jesus was walking Salvation when he forgave the prostitute he was walking Salvation when he forgave the woman caught in adultery, and openly put on blast the man in the crowd who was about to throw the rock to stone her oh yeah he was among the crowd. So I don't know why "Saints" seem to think we shouldn't be in unseemly places. How else are the lost going to be found? If God called you to look for them..Disciples you have to go where they are. A light can be illuminated with other light..we shine brightest in dark places. Let the baby Christians grown up, and fall down..we suppose to be there to help them up. A righteous man falls SEVEN TIMES..BUT THE WICKED FALL AND STAY DOWN. There are five callings, Jesus gave SOME to be Ephesians 6 :10.. that means everyone has a position and roll to play..know yours!! Go head Mr. GIBSON!!

kalondra turner allow me to offer this, if Jesus would have let the prostitute be stoned, she would've died in her sins, if Jesus would've walked away with the rest, she would've kept living in her sins, instead He showed compassion and followed it with the command of go and sin no more. being filled with gratitude, the woman gladly turned from her sin so she neither died or continued to live in it. That's what Jesus died for, not to give the right to sin. The church has been tricked by satan, as soon as someone says we shouldn't do something, we hide behind the "don't judge me" phrase, when the Bible teaches to love Godly correction. The love that Jesus has, leads people away from sin into life, and that's the kind of love we should have

Come as you are means come as you with braids, bagage as you are. problems whatever come as you are and many Christians don't realize what that means and you can't be perfected over night. It's a process me I am a Christian and my religion is Christianity. Which I believe in Christ and I am not perfect. I struggle because I still listen to secular music even though I watch the lyrics. But I still choose to go to church and go as I am with my flaws and all that. But it doesn't mean I love Him any less than. I know its a process and we as Christians got to realize just what it says...Come As You Are Mean!!!

I have a new found respect for Tyrese. He was already one of my favorite entertainers. So to know he also shares some of my same spiritual ideas on top of his birthday being the day after mine, gives me a sense of peace. I know I love God but I'm not perfect. So this gave me the assurance that it's not always about who you are or what you do, it's what's inside you that God cares about.

some Christians are critical and some are self protective against awkward teachings. The word does says not to love the things of this world, for if you love the things of this world then the love of the Father is not in you. not one time does the Bible teach being sexy to get people to church or saved. you can tell a tree by its fruit, so when you talk God and then use vulgar language because someone paid you to then it doesn't show much commitment to God. do not be fooled, God will not be mocked. for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap. if you sow unto the flesh you reap corruption and if you sow unto the Spirit you will reap everlasting life.

We (christians)all have different stories to tell on how we have become a Christian. Some had no struggles while some had (depending on the grace of God and purpose in one's life). To become a follower of Christ is a choice we make but we can never do it without God's help because we have no enough power to fight against the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18) but God. To become a true Christian we have to go through a process in which we are supposed to be obedient to God in every step no matter how hard it is, and when we are weak His grace is sufficient (2Corinthians 12:9). God works in us first before the world see the change in us. But God's grace is never to be taken for granted, never. When God wills, in His own time and manner- will transform you completely and make you a new person in Christ Jesus.

Tyrese is sharing his experience with honesty and candor. Sometimes people find it difficult when people are being themselves. The easy thing for him to do would be to front and use a phraseology that would be pleasing to people's ears. But, when you have had a tough life on the road of hard knocks, and you are trying to keep it real, playing pretend just isn't on your list.

There are some great points being made but I disagree with the statment about it doesn't matter if your walk doesn't match your talk as long as your talking about him. That is so wrong, we can't allow people to believe that it is ok to do sinful things and then say it ok because I talk about God. To me that is stratiling the fence and God doesn't want lukewarm be for him with your whole heart or the other. Not saying that we won't mess up but that can't be your excuse.

This is a new response to an old video; to answer your question.....I knew him since he was a child; He and his family lived on the next block directly behind me across the alley that separated our houses. He is still my boy, but I am a bit disappointed in the things that I see today. God is not about our financial successes, but spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. The scriptures says that it is harder for a rich man to enter heaven than a camel going through the eye of a needle. Steve Harvey says that he had been friends with Tyrese and knows him well, but if that is the case, then his walk with God is also based on finances versus a loving relationship. Tyrese has had a lot of help from me and others and chooses not to acknowledge that information.

We've all come short of the Glory of God. So why judge Tyrese for who he is and how he is. And think that him Knowing who the source is and understanding who gave him his gifts. No im not justifying what he does because if you have real talent you shouldn't have to alter yourself for that. But i think the only way to fully draw men unto Christ is to love them through everything and guide them through their faults not judge them. Judging them pushes them away. the fact is he's trying to change.

Unless you have really read the book that he has written, it disqualifies most of the opinions posted! I'm not saying he is correct in every area, but are we? His message is that "God gives you hope beyond your circumstances." I have the book and it really helps me to understand how we as Christians look to those that want Christ but not how we present Him oftentimes. Listen to the heart of what he is saying and don't let what you don't agree with tear apart the heart of the message.

To a point I agree but how do we account for the grace of God? God's grace is to draw us out but until we come out He still gives grace. Somehow we think the first grace God gives is saving grace but that's not true. God is the master locksmith if you will. He has the combination to the heart and soul and He works at levels we can't understand.

I've read most of the comments on here. All of us are sinners...none of us are perfect. Most of us are a work in progress, as is Mr. Gibson. I tell folks all the time....I'm certainly not where I want to be, but definintely not where I used to be, and making baby steps in the right direction is so much more than remaining stagnant.

Although this man is not meeting Your expectations as a christian, just remember He is open to God, if He chooses to let God fully saturate His life that would be awesome. Don't judge Him though ""If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone" just pray for Him and ourselves

Truth. I think that the scary thing is people take us Singers and actors to build their walk with Christ. When the only example you should use is JESUS.

If you listen to the singer song writer of "sinful songs" in his tune and words you hear a genuine testimony. God honors that and he deals with us by moving out the stuff that's not kingdom building. just follow Tyrese God Got em he will be preaching and singing god song before long. and pray for the brother. don't Judge him
