During the mornings of 1968, this little gurl would listen to this song on the only black station in Indianapolis In (still that way) to get me off to school early in the morning. We moved earlier in the summer, and the neighborhood was new to me. My Mom, who worked nights, would always be up with me to send me off as she prayed for my safety to the bus stop. THIS song still resonates with me to this day. Mom passed in 2005, but I know she watches me. As I share it with my friends, Grace be upon you always, Bishop Rance Allen. My hero.
