Yeah, one big aspect of this fight is that Francis is having his first boxing camp, and he's not even able to do roadwork because he's coming off a knee surgery. The elliptical, the row machine, etc. aren't going to get you ready for the cardio demands of an elite boxing match, only running 5-10 miles a day will. Plus the fact that he's 37, carries way too much muscle for boxing, he'll be gassed out in 1-2 rounds.

francis did 2 rounds of very light sparring and hes goosed. see the problem with being full of muscle everywhere is you get tired faster and he looked very flat footed. tyson looked sharp and on point and as we know his cardio is always fantastic. i can only see this going 1 way unless francis manages to land that 1 good punch. but then will tyson just get up like he did against wilder? regardles its one to watch entertainment which is what its all about and gotta say francis has some balls given its his first boxing fight.

That was my thought to until you realize he looks slow because he put too much weight and this is boxing. Different stance, footwork and way of throwing punches that you just cant learn in 6 months. He would have been better if he slimmed down and focused less on boxing specific training and more his sharpness and speed. Its gonna be Conor vs Floyd all over again.

Good point. I box and do the same thing (I'm obviously not Francis but am the most powerful in my gym). I put a ton of weight behind it but with good speed/explosiveness at impact too. Francis's issue is he lacks the shoulder pop to give it explosion and more speed. If you're relaxed and use gravity, it's not so hard to be fast and powerful, due to rotation, despite the feet needing to be planted. You're right though- Francis is transferring all of it. I just don't think that it'll work in boxing. You want the quick explosive power like Wilder (talking speed of punch, not necessarily volume), or Tyson. Fury will see those a mile away IMO@@mrfatuchi

Francis only chance is to duck down and throw looping over hand right. Cunningham caught Fury several times with that punch and dropped him and Cunningham weighed maybe 210 pounds. Make it wild, he should not try to be a technical boxer in there, Tyson will see everything coming if he does. He has no chance trying to box fury. That jab Francis is throwing is so slow and lazy, he will get right hand countered and fast. He needs to get into medium range and throw wild punches from different angles and hope he gets lucky.
