Yes, I remember watching this race live in 2013 and thinking man, Tyson looks fast and strong. It turned out he tested positive for a PED. He said he put his trust in someone and they let him down. It’s so unfortunate, because Tyson is one of most favorite track athletes of all time. I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt. He had to forfeit the results of this final race as well as other races won, including his 2012 Olympic relay silver medal.

Gatlin and Powell never ran 9.6. Both ran low 9.7s though. And Powell having the most sub 10 second 100m ever is special but if we're talking prime fitness it has to go to Blake and Gay in the 100m since they're literally tied at 9.69.

@JohnJo-qn7wq easy, Basically Tyson ran 9.69 in the maximum tail wind allowed. When you convert the time without the assistance of the wind that race would be a 9.79. Blake ran 9.69 into a slight headwind though it wasn't that significant/strong. So Blake basically outright ran 9.69. Tyson however ran 9.71 with less tail wind chasing Usain Bolt with his world record 9.58. Basically, if not for the wind, Tyson's 9.71 is faster than his 9.69 run in still/no wind conditions.
