Lyrics✨ The day starts The day ends Time crawls by Night steals in Pacing the floor The moments creep Yet I can't bear to sleep Till I hear you sing And weeks pass And months pass Seasons fly Still you don't walk through the door And in a haze, I count the silent days Till I hear you sing once more And sometimes at nighttime I dream that you are there But wake, holding nothing but the empty air And years come And years go Time runs dry Still I ache down to the core My broken soul can't be alive and whole Till I hear you sing once more And music, your music It teases at my ear I turn and it fades away and you're not here Let hopes pass Let dreams pass Let them die Without you what are they for? I always feel no more than halfway real Till I hear you sing once more

Just got gifted this by random chance, and since it's probably the best cover of this I've heard outside of its original voice range I figured I'd try and help get the algorithm to notice it. Seriously, this is one of the clearest Soprano-y voices I've heard outside of like, professional theater. The fluttery, airy quality is just so good! Like a bird's song but made into human singing, if that makes any sense! I can't help but wonder how much better this would sound if done again in 5 or so years. It's already good, but like... it could be _unstoppable_ with further improvement.

Hello, thank you so much for your wonderfully thoughtful message!! I am very flattered - I've always liked clear soprano voices myself so I strive to keep the crystal core of the tone. It puts a smile on my face to hear that you enjoy it! And birdsong is such a lovely metaphor as well. Thank you so much. I will certainly keep training hard to keep developing :)

Hey, I absolutely love your cover. I'm a girl wanting to sing this too. Did you transpose the instrumental? Cos the track you link to in the description does not seem to be in the same key (as far as I can tell it's in F and you're singing it in Db I think?? I'm not great at music theory so pls be kind if I'm wrong). I'd love to find a track I can use and this seems a really nice range so I'd be keen to hear.

Absolutely amazing cover, truly beautiful! I'm just wondering, whether the quick fall-off from the first few lines was an intentional stylistic device. It wasn't too fond of it, but I can see how it could also be a powerful affect to others depending on the taste. Other than that I was highly impressed. (Quick disclaimer, I'm not an expert. Just my personal opinion)
@tze.musica3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jannis, thank you for the thoughtful feedback! By fall-off in the first few lines, do you mean shorter phrases? I did intentionally sing those quieter and less drawn out given the intimacy of the moment, and so that it sets up contrast to the bigger moments and climax that come later in the song.
@janniswildermuth14993 жыл бұрын
@@tze.musica I meant the quick diminuendo on the last syllables on those first few phrases, leaving the rear end almost unheard. But again, I think that has a lot to do with personal taste and your reasoning is completely sound regarding the contrast. If I were to sing it myself I doubt I could do better, and thinking about it now, I'm not quite sure if I could come up with a different way to navigate those first few phrases without giving up dynamic contrast to the later parts. It is a truly delicate affair.

No one would listen no one but you heard of the outcast hears. Send into solitude shunned by the multitude I learned to listen in my, my heart heard music. I long to teach the world rise up and reach the world no one would listen I alone could hear the music. Then, your voice in the gloom seem to cry "I hear you"; you hear my fears, my tournament and my tears." You saw my loneliness shared in my emptiness no one would listen no one but you heard of that outkast hears. No one would listen no one but you heard as the outcast hears.
