While it is true, by his own admission, that Churchill drank liquor daily, and through each day, he was not a drunk. He very rarely drank to excess. What one hears listening to this recording is a speech impediment Churchill struggled with throughout his life. He had difficulty pronouncing the letter s. He had a lisp.
