The dive tube that came with the Arkmodel hull kit never worked and any help from the supplier fell on stony ground

WOW!! was für ein Fahrbild - und über- wie unterwasser kaum krängen, das heißt was. Das mit dem WTC bei Arkmodel hab ich auch gehört, stimmt also. Würde auch ein Engel-Kolbentank reinpassen? Leider krieg ich mein Revell VIIC mit dem Brüggen-Ausbausatz nicht dicht...

🙂 Danke, du kriegst ein Rohr mit Durchmesser 90mm rein. Ob es Engel-Kolbentanks in der Größe gibt, weiss ich nicht. Mit einem Kolbentank wird es aber auch instabil, deshalb und wegen der Füllmenge von etwa 600 ml bin ich vom Kolbentank abgekommen. Der Brüggen-Ausbausatz hat für mein Empfinden zu viele Klebestellen, mein Revell hat nur eine und ist zu 100% dicht.

At beginning it hwas WTC Arkmodel included. Because of problems i built a new one with another technique.

@@u67iringbarth I would still like to know what problems you experienced--i'm halfway through the build of the model and I really do not wish to have any bad surprises. A friend of mine who is far more educated in the art of electronics than I will ever be considers the Arkmodel WTC electrics very wanting and is modifying the system .Bot I must say the hull is a plastic masterpiece, i'm sure you would agree !

@@DUCATI600CC Did you test the WTC? I had big problems with tightness, in my opinion not possible with the technice from arkmodel. The endcaps did break with sealing. The piston-tank has only 300ml, that is not enough for scale driving and diving. And yes, the hull is good quality.

indeed a lovely representation of the boat, but not so the dive tube that Arkmodel supply for it---it just doesn't work and there 's no customer support at all, and it's very expensive

did you add some modifications? mine has a super large turning radius :( and the stocking wtc is really hard to use

Yes I made a complete new WTC, the original WTC from Arkmodel is useless. Now ist has a peristaltic pump and flexible tank with 650 ml for static diving. The hull is also new.

@@DUCATI600CC I think the stocking WTC is way too huge which provids too much extra buoyancy, makes it difficult to dive. The sub is very heavy when finished. I also made another new WTC which is much smaller but has a ballast tank with similar size(I'm using a DIY SAS ballast system), and the sub is becoming much lighter to bring outside, I wish that will help

@@HawxWon Thank you for your advice Hawx. After spending so much money on the WTC I must make the effort to make it work. I have a friend who thinks the electronics need some modification, i'm quite sure he will improve it. The general opinion is that the submarine kit extremely good , would you agree?
