When you do, you are going to lose your mind on the amount and speed at which you can find them. Back home here in St.Louis, I have to chip and bash them out of limestone, so U-Dig is a wonderful easy dig for me

Mine too, I love trilobites. It's a goal of mine to find one of every species that lived in North America.

Great video, my friend! I really enjoyed you showing the process on how to clean them, what tools you used and showing how to do it. Also, what to look out for.

Thank you, I always worry the cleaning part will be boring. Mostly cause that's the time I sort of space out forget to talk and will shoot really really long clips

Feels like you had a bunch of people start to set up camp near you at the end. I don't mind people, but this is such a large area they could easily find other space. When I went we had this little kid come over to our stash, pick one up and yell "Mommy I found one!" We didn't like that needless to say. Lol Great stuff bro, these videos remind me of how much fun we had and will have again!

They did set up kind of close, but I did invite them over. Usually I don't but it was late in the day and they were little kids... although had they touched my stash pile, I would have said something... of course, it wouldn't have been in the video cause I keep it family-friendly, LOL

@iforgotwhatiwasdoin hahaha I'm good with kids. I do a lot of stuff in schools, but I keep two piles . Stuff for kids, which is OK stuff, and my pile, which is good stuff for collection or selling LOL

Thank you much, I hope you guys get a chance to trilobite hunt some time, I want to see some Australian trilobites. No clue how close they are to your area, I'm lucky here the U.S. was all ocean at one time.

Got the shale, and the first part I split open revealed a pretty much complete trilobite, as well as 3 partials. All really nice size. It will work perfectly for the project idea I had talked to Jeff about…last year, I think. He said he’s keep an eye out for a piece that might work, and he kept his word. For any who don’t know(yet), I can speak personally for Master Jeff’s integrity and generosity. He’s not just one of my favorite KZbinrs, he’s one of my favorite people in the whole world. Can’t go wrong supporting him and his channel.

Man I wish there were better layers here lol. Several awesome finds man! Good call on watch out for fossil scammers. There's a lot out there! That's why I like finding them myself... I don't think I've found any fakes yet

The fossil man in his element. We remember you doing the brass brush on those trilobites before. That was ooooh inspiring, like awe inspiring but better. Glad you included how you process these guys. They clean up nice. Interesting the natives knew they were water bugs too. That's a pretty fun fact!
@huntingrocks4 ай бұрын
I love that they knew they were bugs , they would also use them as protective talismans which is super cool
