When you listen to other gurus and read spiritual scriptures, there is always a hope to achieve & know & experience something called enlightenment & god & awakening etc. That creates the separation from the truth and keeps the wheel of hope turn on and on. UG is a unique gem, who breaks that cycle of hope and seeking. Brings you back to truth. Some people call him pessimistic, nihilistic etc. I think he is the most optimistic and realistic man on spirituality. All others create fantasies and divisions which create misery. But he cuts off all the nonsense. That is the real deal!

What trigers me, is i always come back thinking about these practices he was suppose to do when he came ba k to life after that clinical death. What did these things that his friends were suggesting him ? They were part of their s riptures and they did help him to come back together and function again. And especially in this particular way. Natural way. But what I feel about UG is that he emits this present rather then future or past better than anyone ever. He is also led by the tactic do not sear h for God. But when you hear that you are like immediately searching for it. It is the same thing as if you say to someone do not think of the red elephant. Brain has no yes and no . BUT what ug does is that he plays in the moment and focuses your mind to converse him and listen to him closely he twosts hour mind so hard bends it and tires it that in the emd you quit and just be attracted and respectfull to him and others and yourself. Having reached anything in that spiritual world is actually possible only trough being present. And we shouldnt call it spiritual cuz it is the same as material as UG says. This man speaks of present, we as humans are living far from our natural habitat and no wonder listening to Ug feels so good. Being trapped in the jungle what can you do. You might as well sit down and wait. Ug's face features and his portrait are almost e actly looking like combination of my grandmother and grandfather from my fathers side ( no idea why i shared this)

I'm getting so much clarity from this tape. Ug didn't need to be a happy man- he just "is". Happiness, and the pursuit of it, is what is causing "sadness". Most problems would disappear, if we realize we dont need to be "happy" all the time, in order to live on this planet- we just have to do what's necessary, in order to function and survive in it. Wow...

@@nikynina7872 Yes, that's why I said most problems, and I'm discovering this after listening to this tape that the idea of maintaining happiness, is what causes my own personal miseries. It's impossible to be happy 24/7, however it is propagated that we should aspire to have a happy life. Bull! Just like temporary sadness, temporary anger, and other temporary emotional states, the body is throwing all those states out of us, because like nature everything simply "rests" and the body is no different.

In this highest state of supreme God consciousness [anuttara], There is no need for spiritual progress, no contemplation, no art of expression, No investigation, no meditation, no concentration, no recitation, exertion, or practice Tell me, then, what is the supreme and well-ascertained truth? Listen, indeed, to this! Neither abandon nor accept anything, Enjoy everything, remain as you are!

@@thummajoe I will not disagree with you. But the fact based belief is also a belief in facts which assumes facts as Truths. Relative facts and Truths are always questionable from the pivotal point one stands. Putting forward logic aimed against those mediocre minds who exploit in the name of greater understanding will lead us nowhere. It is not the contradictions that guide our path and understanding but the real zeal for Truth which is to be found wherever it is.

Can't get away from division, from duality. This is just the other side. "You can't critisize what you don't know" but then if there's nothing to know then anyone can critisize anything reasonably, as there is no objective thing to know. He strikes me as the other side of the same coin of some kind of blind faith which he might critisize. "Oh you can't know anything/there is nothing to know" Not THAT dogma of something, THIS dogma of nothing. If there's nothing "real", as it were, to cling to, then the lady asking the questions "knows" as much as U.G. and the whole set up is absurd. He might as well ask her to clarify for him, what does he know that she doesn't? It's not nihilism, it's a specific kind of tactical nihilism. It's ironic considering that U.G. has pointed out the "I know what you don't" potential to flex on others spiritually. He just seems to do that from the other side. I don't know, this is my reflection. I'd like to think he'd find it interesting. Or he would maybe bristle at it because it's just as much of an act as anyone else puts on. Can't really get away from that I suppose.

Belief is a self defense mechanism coded in the human system/ machine to preserve the human machine code. We have many beliefs not limited to religious belief, love, marriage, friendship, political ideology etc. Even when I say that a human is a computer code, this is another belief which replaced my previous religious belief. We are programmed this way. But I still meditate/ contemplate from time to time hoping that I will discover something.

Belief is a self defensive illusion. It has nothing to do with facts and truths. Seeking for the reality needs a liberation from beliefs. But unfortunately the beliefs sprout again at higher levels basing themselves on certain facts which are not unto them complete.

I remember I was all set to stay on at school after compulsory leaving age, for another two years so I could go to uni. Not because I wanted to but because that's what was supposed to be done and everyone around me was doing, but I wanted to select two subjects that were in the same category. They said I couldn't and so I left school there and then. A voice inside just simply said "I've had enough of education". I never went to uni, got a job instead, which only lasted a year and gradually life steered me towards Music. Education system is just a brainwashing tool to mould you and make you useful to serve the system.

How can you have lost anything if there is nothing? It's a selective form of nihilism, it seems to me, as I pointed out in my comment above. Where it suits him there is nothing. But peppered with presuppositions about good and bad, clarity and confusion, truth and falsehood everywhere throughout. There's no duality but here, where it suits me, I'm going to create a duality. I don't dislike him, it just seems kind of lazy and pseudo "deep" sounding a lot of the time. "See you're wrong again with your perception of what is true, there is no truth, now let me explain what's really true" sort of thing. And people just go "ahhh wise Eastern man so true!" Because, well, they've been conditioned to, ironically enough.

The lady who is acting as the interviewer , her voice is very childish and her questions are rather immature. It's fascinating to see how much UG is holding back his expression. Though by his sarcasm that slips thru, he is exercising a lot of restraint and gentleness. I have seen him flare up towards many others (probably male) who , let's face it, just take your time to act silly and intellectual at the same time, succeeding only in being silly. This lady is WAY out of her depth, like most westerners. BUT I always felt, deep down UG is a gentleman. He proves it here. 😊
