See, the thing about the fanon is that a lot of parts of it directly contradict what's stated in canon. We don't know precisely *how* insane Flandre is - just that she appears to be mentally a child despite Remiila maturing in that department, and that Remi keeps her in the basement to keep her from going nuts with her power. Some fans portray her as a barely-contained avatar of destruction, others as a sweet little girl who just can't control her power. Elements of truth in both, I say.
