New Subscriber here po!! I'm currently a 2nd Year College BS Entrepreneurship Student who is an aspiring lawyer po. Thank you po for being one of Filipino Lawyer Vloggers in youtube world. Actually it's my first time to watch a vlog about how a UP law alumna survived UP Law as a full time working student. Thank you for sharing your experience and a living testament that even full time working student in UP law school can still survive and thrive to graduate law school and pass the bar. I want to ask you po for advice if I should take accountancy as a second degree program. I want to take it po because I want to properly handle the financial technical side of our business. I want to further study accountancy to be CPA so my dad won't have to pay a CPA just to teach them the facets of accounting as it is costly but he still needs to as he is not inclined with accountancy. But I'm scared to take it because even I got an average grade yet passing score po sa fundamentals of accounting, I'm not a logical and analytical thinker as well as good problem solver and it may cost me more time and money to spend. Thanks po!!

Thank you for watching too. Yes it’s really possible and madami kaming working law students who eventually became a lawyer. I encourage you to try taking accountancy pa din so you’ll not have any regrets in life. It’s a very good pre-law course too since may business law subjects ka na and taxation. Good luck!

Hello atty! Im currently 4th year criminology student and after I finish my bachelor's degree or after the board.I am planning to take law .Ano po bang first step na gagawin?wala po kasi akong idea kung ano ang unang gagawin or saan mag aaral ng law kaya nag se-search ako kung anong pwede kung first step. May kaylangan pabang gawin before enrolling? Pano po maka pasok sa UP? May entrance exam ba sila na ipapa alam sa buong pilipinas if sino gusto mag law? Or anong mga preparation na kaylangan gawin before taking law po? Sana mapansin tong question ko atty hehe .Thankyou

Sr. Citizen na ako my nag renta sa aking maliit na lote ngayon gusto ko ng kunin after 5yrs para po ma lagyan ko ng bahay kubo para matirahan ko... Sa contrata atty myroon provision na both parties ay pueding mag revoke, cancel and rescind the contract of lease.. Pued ko bang gamitin ito maski my 10yrs pang natira sa lease cobtract... Hi po attorney, mejo common na po kasi kung itatanong ko kung okay lang ba kahit may edad na kapag kumuha ng law, kaya ang itatanong ko nalang po is kung ano po pinaka ideal age pag kumuha po ng Law. (age bracket nalang po attorney para di masyadong masakit haha) Thank you po Attorney

wala naman po sa edad ang pag aabogasya lahat po pwede pa kumuha basta kaya pang mag-aral. Mas maigi lang po kung bata pa para mas makapag practice pa at magamit ang propesyon. Tuloy lang po, may mga kaklase po ako noon na nasa 40s na at may mga anak pero tuloy pa rin po sa pag-aaral. Sa bar exam naman po meron pa rin mga senior citizen na nag eexam. Wala po yan sa edad ang mahalaga ay nananatiling buhay ang kagustuhang maging abogado.

Hi sir! So if i am planning to enter up law school at bgc for evening class, i should work first for about a year before i could take the LAE? since based on the site it is needed that the applicant for evening class must be employed; either full or part time.

not necessarily for a year, for as long as you are employed at the time of registration/enrollment.

Hello po Atty! Incoming undergrad student here. Ask ko lang po since CPA rin kayo, did you struggle a lot nung undergrad kayo? May mga kakilala po kasi akong nagshift from accountancy dahil sobrang hirap raw po ng course. I’m planning to become a CPA Lawyer rin kaso right now I’m hesitant na mag accountancy pa. Pero hindi rin kasi kami mayaman so I have to have a “safety net” kumbaga na in case hindi na kayanin mag law school, eh may profession na naman ako. Ask ko rin kung hindi po ba kayo nawalan ng gana na mag aral pa ng law after ng undergrad kasi yun nga po I heard na nakakadrain yung accountancy. In short po, gusto ko lang po talaga malaman kung kakayanin ko ang journey to obtain that CPA Lawyer title 😭 I would appreciate po talaga to hear your experience on this Atty. kasi these past few days talaga nappressure na ko to make a decision HAHAHAHA

Mahirap talaga ang accountancy, I remember having 9-hour exams sa UP before and nakaka drain din talaga siya and you still have the board exam which also has a low average passing rate compared to other professional exams. But it’s really up to you, sipag at tyaga talaga ang puhunan if you want that CPA-Lawyer title. Also, may advantages din ang accountancy as a pre-law course since may business law and taxation subjects ka na which is a good foundation sa law school. Good luck!

thank you! walang age limit sa study of law as long as you can still keep up with the demands of law school, you can still be a lawyer even at an older age

I have a question po, so nadelay kase ng 3 years yung degree na kinukuha ko since tumigil ako sa pag aaral. then as of right now, naka enroll ako sa 1 year program and matatapos ko yung 4 years course ko in just 1 year. Pwede parin po ba kong makapasok sa law school kahit ganon?

Meron pong day class sa UP Law 4 years po. 5 years po ang evening program since less units per semester for working students. Happy New Year too!

Yes, review centers can help you study more efficiently, they have the materials and are very organized. Just choose your review center wisely.

morning classes in UP Law can start as early as 8am, you will have your own block and at times, even if you’re in the “day” class, you’ll still have evening classes

you can take more units sa last few semesters but they won’t allow it if your grades are not good. I suggest you stick to the program lalo na kung full time ang work mo

Attorney pwede po mag tanong? Require po ba sa UP law o sa nag aaral ng law yung deep vocabulary? Kasi po napapansin ko lang po attorney na yung mga abogado specially yung mga product ng UP law marami po akong naririnig na mga deep words o jargon term ba tawag dun (correct me if i'm wrong) sa mga salita nila or sa the way sila nag sasalita parang laging may presence ng mga deep words.

Hellooo po. What were some of the questions asked during interview sa UP Law? I am a person po kasi who usually answers questions like a beauty pageant like using phrases such as "Making the world a better place for us to live in" and medyo natatakot ako because personally I think medyo confident naman ako when it comes to articulating my answers pero yun nga it always sounds so flowery and romanticized. Last question po, what work should I apply na hindi masyadong mabigat considering na you'll be a working law student? Thank you and keeps safe!

From what I remember they will usually ask you about what you do, why you want to take up law, and why up law. Sa work naman, depende yan kung anong work yung manageable sayo but if you have doubts you can take a part-time work muna. Good luck!
