This should be standard barracks for single soldiers across the nations, definitely the MOS I wanted but Glad you are in really good living space

It’s crazy that we all agree that somewhere nice to lay your head for you career job should be standard. But we get told daily we’re living in luxury lol. But overrall, they were too good to be true because they are moving us out of them 🤦🏽‍♀️

Seeing this after coming over from the Marine Corps, where depending on unit policy, it was against the rules to have a stove or hotplate/skillet in your room, this gives me a bit of hope in my transition into the Army.

My hopes were almost high about the Army changing the standards of the living conditions for their soldiers.. I guess I made this video too soon because they are moving us out of them 😩😂

I was stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama in the 80's and 90,'s .My barracks was much more like an apartment or home than what I see here. The barracks room now seems like its for inmates who committed minor crimes and confined space. The furniture is dull looking and the bed looks like it's for jail cell uncomfortable and way too small. Thanks for the video. And FYI you are a beautiful woman who I'd love to get to know.

So hurry up and become a NCO so you will always have a room equal to or better. Try bed bath and beyond for shower curtain. Or fabric store. Do you get cable, or you have to stream everything. Did I miss a desk in your room for studying?

@@kyonnap_ umm nah I didn’t have no kitchen when I was at Bragg. I had to go McDs or the DFAC. Y’all new soldiers are lucky to have all these new accommodations. I’m just saying 🤷🏻‍♂️

My daughter just arrived, 82nd Airborne Div. She's still in reception barracks but moving next week. Can anyone tell me a bit about what the barracks look like that she may possibly get put in? Twin or Twin XL mattress? Do you share a room, share a bathroom, have a full kitchen like this video? This room seems way too nice lol!

Thank you for watching!! ❤️ but I’m not positive what the 82nd barracks look like. I can definitely understand how my barracks might catch you by surprise lol they are not the norm. However, the other barracks aren’t too bad, just not as spacious and they share a bathroom. I don’t share a bathroom because I’m in a NCO barracks room.

Where you on separate rations or a meal card? In alot of these videos there are dope looking kitchens, and I wonder why no one seems to goes to the DIFAC. I got out in 2003, so I'm curious how things are done today.

Nooo, not at all! Did you check the unit you’re going to? There are many units. You could be going to an Airborne unit but that does not mean you’re about to become airborne qualified. You have to go to school for that. But if you are in the 82nd or the BCT’s, it’s a good chance they’ll want you to go cause that’s the norm. But it’s a lot of soldiers that don’t have their wings even though they are in that unit. You just won’t stand out because many of the soldiers in those units are indeed Airborne.

Dang I hate that you are already being fed bad things before even getting here to experience yourself. But sadly, I’m attached to a medical unit and completely separate from 82nd. 82nd is in their own world so I can’t really speak on it. But hopefully, someone gives you something else positive to look forward to!
