The children in the crowd expressing empathy is very heartwarming, and should be considered a reflection of the teachers, school, and community. Way to go future leaders of America! As a spouse of an active duty Marine and now Veteran, I understand and appreciate your sacrifice. With much love!

This was beautiful and patriotic. I live in Mass. And to hear the kids singing these songs was heartwarming. Here, they dont even say the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag anymore in school. Thank you❤
@bretttodd6470Ай бұрын
They honored the flag the best they could while staying within public school rules. They sang the Star Spangled Banner but not the Pledge of Allegiance bc it has God in the lyrics. Church and state conflict.

Grew up as an Army Brat (British Army) spending most of my time in Germany. Dad served 39 years, so it was all I ever knew. I spent 7 years at school and college in the UK, whilst 'home' was in Germany, so I would only get to see my folks 3 times a year for the main holidays (summer, Xmas, Easter), and then my Dad also was deployed one time for 6 months. I then went on to serve myself for 10 years, spending more than 3 years on deployments during that time. The most memorable return was coming back from a particularly active tour. Our home base was in Germany and 'home' was the Officer's mess, so whilst the married personnel were being greeted by their wives and kids, I headed off to the Officer's Mess with no expectations. One of the guys I went through training with, John, and a few others, had travelled from their bases all over Germany to be my very own welcoming committee. One of the most heart warming gestures I've ever experienced. Dropped my bags and we headed straight to the bar. I remember waking up in one of the chairs in the bar at about 4am. John was asleep in the chair opposite.
