Stanford student, Eileen Gu Ailing (谷 爱 凌), fluent in Mandarin, feels very much at home in China, her mom's birthplace. I understand that some folks in US are upset about Eileen's decisions. In fact, I would've felt a little upset if I were in US side. I have no doubt that Eileen would never forget what she has benefited from people around her in US, I also believe that majority of Chinese people understand that. She certainly would inspire more people to involve the sport she loves by representing China. From that perspective , we should respect her decision.
