This is an interesting look as an overview of the Marines in Korea. Well worth a listen to those interested in the Korean conflict.

My uncle James Von Hagel served with the Marines in Korea from 1951-1953 and was wounded in battle and had horrible nightmares for years. He told me that the Chinese would send 6 waves of troops to attack, the first wave carried machine guns, the second wave carried rifles, the third wave carried grenades and the fourth, fifth and sixth picked up whatever they could find.
