I miss working on my star trek models. You make me want to get them down from the attic and start again.

Looks fantastic, great ideas and execution! It’s starting to go beyond a simple refit of the Excelsior… Maybe give it its own class name based around the Excelsior - like the Crazy Horse class or the Sulu class? Just a thought 😊 Looking forward to the next video!

That's a great idea. But I would have to have custom decals made. I appreciate the compliment. Thanks so much for watching.

I love what you are doing with this. You are giving me ideas I don't need. 😁

If you're getting ideas, you need them. Thank you so much 😊

That tiny deflector dish definitely was the dish for the Enterprise-B. Good job on the progress. Been loving the changes/upgrades you've been doing for this model. Loved hearing your bird(s) in the background. I had a Quaker Parrot back in high school until 2004 when I moved from Vegas (from there). I ended up giving it to someone my brother knew who raised birds. I miss her a lot ...she may not be alive anymore since the tag on her foot said 1991 and it's now 2024...so yeah 33 years don't think birds live that long. Edit: Those look like the same type of crystals I get from Michaels to use as formation lights on the larger models...well at least the more tinier ones.

Yes, I did get the crystals from Michael's. I think they add a nice touch of detail.

I know thats a lot of work, I had to practally rebuild my impulse engines cause as you may know the I.E. bottom and top area don't fit right. but it came out better than the factory molding in fact looks perfect and fits like a glove. Your Impulse Engines are looking real cool though awesome job.

That circular piece you showed at the beginning looks like the dish from Enterprise B, and depending when you got your kit, the kit had some shared parts with Ent-B and Excel

Btw, I hope the cut isn't real bad, hope it heals quickly...looked like a bad cut. I've been in the emergency room a few times and got a few stitches myself so I know how it is. be careful in the future Bro. No kidding, they have a coffe cup with my name on it at the emergency room God's truth lol

No problem. My blade is very sharp so it cut clean and it skipped off the bone so it didn't go deep. Thanks though. I appreciate your concern and I appreciate your interest.👍

That part you can't find in the instructions, is it part 219 on the sprue? If so, that's the deflector dish insert for the Enterprise-B.

I'm surprised you didn't use strips from the lenticular effect picture to get somewhat bendable strips instead of working with that old pylon base. Seems like an easier source for ridged plastic.
@Trekmods2 ай бұрын
That's a great idea. Part 10. Thanks.

The ridges are a bit thicker but I don't think it will be noticeable.👍

@@Trekmods Glad I could give you a bit of inspiration. Also, test dipping it in somewhat hot water rather than shooting several times that temperature at the plastic.
