Wyoming only gets 3, not 4, electoral votes. Each State gets 2 Senators. That is because the Senate doesn't represent people, just the States themselves. That gives each State equal representation among themselves. The House represents the people aka the citizens. Each House member in a State represents a District of approximately 700,000 people (today that figure is around 747,000). So, if you want to be heard, you'd better yell loudly. Electoral votes are determined by adding together the number of Senators plus House Representatives per State. Wyoming has less than 700,000 people in total, so it only has one House member (2 Senators + 1 House Member = 3 Electoral Votes). Every 10 years the Federal government initiates a State by State census to determine how many people/citizens are in each State. That number is then divided by 700,000 to determine how many House Reps each State gets with no State receiving less than 1.

Did you know that if you lived in California your vote would be worth less than someone living in Wyoming because they give up some of our electoral votes to states that don't have as many. Same would be for like Texas and Wyoming or other states with small populations.

​@@ShirazTebyani Californians aren't giving up their electoral votes. Yes, partially populated Districts skew the dynamics of Electoral elections, BUT myriad States have them. There are 6 States that have low population and have 1 House Representative, they are: Alaska, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, Delaware, and Wyoming. States are sovereign, so it isn't like Districts can be combined across State borders. The people in those Districts are required to be represented, too. Yes, those Districts will have more Electoral weight by default. The population of the USA is continuing to grow and the number of people that Representatives represent is also increasing from 700,000 people to around 747,000 people. In the early 1900's, a cap was placed by Congressional Law on the number of House Reps allowed at 435. With uneven distribution of population and an increase in the number of people being represented by a single House member in a District, the skewing of Electoral votes will be perpetuated, and may increase, unless Congress resets the cap allowing for more House Members and Districts.
