During the winter months, Grand Rapids Crew Juniors player Ethan Gilfillan trains indoors. He works hard, listens closely to his coaches, and picks up new techniques very quickly.

The Ball is already under control. The player is maneuvering or directing the ball forward by touching it with different foot points, parts, or surfaces. There is a big difference between ball control and ball direction, two different skills. USSF B Coach.

That kid's got great ball control. What I don't care for in some of this video is the redundancy of some of the footwork drills

Hi can you help me please? me and my brother mostly play defensive positions and we go to park everyday. There is only me and my brother no one else and there is no goal We mostly practice doing straight passes and sometimes we try to dribble each other while the other person tries to defend and we switch. What do think we have to practice on with only two people? Thanks

These kids should be playing futsal. This is not uncommon footwork for futsal players at this age.
