Quay Celtic U12s kept their double hopes alive after this penalty shoot-out win over Ardee Celtic on Sunday morning.
Ardee had the better of the exchanges in the first half and Tom Jackson and Jamie McGillick were both denied by two tremendous saves by home 'keeper Joseph Mee.
Quay Celtic took a long time to settle but Josh Reilly did threaten before the break but the Premier Division winners improved after half time and Michael Murray's shot was well saved by Conor O'Hagan nine minutes after the re-start.
It was end to end for most of the second half and Ardee broke the deadlock with just 12 minutes left when Ryan Callan's measured pass set up Paul Dougherty who found the bottom corner.
Quay Celtic struck for a late equaliser when Lee Byrne's corner caused havoc in the penalty area and Sean Jones fired home from close range.
The sides could not be separated after extra time and Joseph Mee was the Quay Celtic hero with two brilliant saves from the penalty spot in the shoot-out to decide the outcome.
