These videos are from Georg Lurich international wrestling tournament in Rakvere, Estonia on 21-22. October 2023. Georg Lurich (1876-1920) was one of the greatest wrestlers in Estonia and one of the strongest men ever as he could hold up 5 grown men with just one hand. He was also a role model for healthy lifestyle and talented in other sports as well as chess. He had a great career and also organized wrestling competitions in USA later in life.

Thank you for comment. I don’t approve this type of behaviour from coach at all, but this is old school type of teaching style and historically and culturally from Soviet Union where slapping was considered kinda OK. Ukraine is not (yet) part of European Union where there are many more human rights, where this will be considered unacceptable. I hope the coaches from other european countries talked to this coach too and thought if I see it again, I will talk to him myself.
