I've been watching and playing football for 30 years, girls here have around 6-10 years of football experience. The most telling signs are their first touch and dribbling. While the boys have no more than 1-2 years of football practice. Most boys at their age who play schoolyard games regularly play way more efficient. This is a mismatch not because of age or size difference, but due to experiential difference.

Naah these 14year olds were taking it easy on the girls and the boys had no quality at all. There is also a big difference between 14year ols and 16 year olds. For example if the WNBA All-Star team were to play a team of 14year olds, they would probably beat them since there wouldn’t be much dunking going on on the boys part. If they were to play a team of 16year old high schoolers, the WNBA team wouldn’t stand a chance because of all the dunking the boys would be doing. They would run circles around the women…

I have no idea where are these boys and girls from, but I'm 100% sure, that they're not from Europe or South America... Probably from North America or Canada or Australia, since I can clearly see, that the boys are not from a country football based because of their low level and immaturity on playing this sport. At 14 yo, generally, european or south american boys, would score at least 15 goals against a girls' team because they would be already used to play with/against adults... Very cool video anyway! And it's great to see 16yo girls playing football in a very nice and tidy manner 😁

I'm Brazilian and I agree. I started when I was 10 and in just 2 years I was able to play against adults (I didn't have the strength yet, but I had the ability). Once I played against women who had been playing football for years and my team won 20-0. It doesn't even compare to the football in this video, it's very different.

Its because in north america, especially canada, each soccer association each province has this weird policy that you have to be atleast 18 years old to play against adults mens league, (no wonder why the maturity and understanding of the game isnt there) and soccer is heavily placed more inmportance to womens program as opposed to men (which more should actually go towards the mens program). In canada its about who you know and favortism. Alot of players in my Generation have been making the same conplaints over the last few years and simply the cost to join a team or even an academy isnt enough for the low class or even 2nd class to afford. We lack infraustructure, coaches, equipment and many other programs set out for the youth to make a lifetime career.

Of the two teams the girls looked to have far more cohesion, the boys were basically the kicking and screaming team get the ball to the tall guys upfront who looked like the only ones capable of playing.

Which is basic football, playing target man. A boring play indeed yet they still scored some goals. The girl's defends didn't mark him so why even the boys ever need to play complex football. I'm pretty sure you don't really watch the whole thing or even knows football. Or just skip to the part where the girls got the equalizer. Being a target man, the only thing you need to do is wait for a though pass, make a run an shoot. The DM and AM for the boys team made a lot of work by giving the CF crucial passes to get through in the middle, short passes not long ball and that is fun football. Here is some breakdowns in the mid game since that is when the fun of football happends. 8:45 target man make a simple run a simple though pass 9:05 boys are too comfortable in the middle, no pressure at all, CF has a goal wide opem from out side the box, on target, just weak not reall god CF then. 9:17 again boys are getting more and more comfortable, just bad finishing. 9:37 cohesive plays? Can't even passes the defense, no overlap play at all, easily tackled by the boy's CB causing the ball mingling around the middle. 9:57 bad pass, a counter then a simple run together, "hey pass!!" GOAL. 10:17 the only solid play in the middle fpr the girls. 10:23 great "one two" through pass, but hey big scary CB marked their forward. 12:26 desperate through pass. 12:49 cohesive play? What for? No goal. The only times for the girls finally scoating goals are only because they used their experiences on taking advantages against the tired boys who played defensively. A shame actually, thus kind of plays against players who are less experience and knowledge about playing football. Which I think the coach for the boys need to be fired. Modern footballs require physical plays, where the boys have advantages in a lot of the position especially in the middle. Conclusion : this match up is stupid, 16 girls team v 14 boys team? What for? Not fair for both side. Girls : less physical Boys : less knowledge and control What can they make from this? Experience? Fun for the boys, harsh reality for the girls. Stats and records? Worthless

Thought the girls really grew into the game physically. Tactically, after the first couple of minutes they were way superior but they didn't have the speed to compete with the boys' striker. There were a couple of players on either side who couldn't really hack it physically or skill-wise, the girls' goalkeeper needs to be way more mobile and threaten the striker, also maybe DIVE for the ball! Overall though these girls are way more intellegent footballers, maybe that's due to the two years age difference, but I still think they could benefit from being less afraid to throw themselves into challenges, you can see it in the way they hold their arms and upper bodies when going for a 50/50as if they're worried about being smashed into. You can't allow that-- it's not going to hurt that bad and you have to enjoy making your opponent believe they're going to come off way worse,! Still, two or three, maybe four players on the girls side had great awareness of where their teammates were, and you got the feeling that as the game went on that superiority paid dividends.

I watched a recent video of Sporting CP 🇵🇹 academy boys went to USA to play against a top club academy boys, the US boys were bigger but they got annihilated like 6-0. The US academy coach was startled that their boys were miles behind almost in every aspect of the game. Imagine what would they do to U-14 Australian/USA girls?? Even Texas high school boys destroyed US women national team (world champions) like 5-0.

I tried to keep score. Think it was either 4-4 or 4-3 boys. But what struck me was how respectful the boys played. There was no unnecessary physical play. I'm not saying they took it easy on the girls. I'm saying they played on skill level. And if it wasn't for the speed difference the boys had it would've ended up better for the girls. They had better passing and better ball skills from what I've seen in this video. But we'll played by both teams. And another note. The girls goalie had an amazing save towards the end of the game

I have to say this .. I have been a coach and player all my life .. given the physical advantage to the boys for being males .. the girls play really good, with skills, touch ... reading the game ...much better than the boys but the physical disparity is too much.... they did not look discouraged at all because of the disadvantage .. actually they look really pissed !! which shows character ... they played really good , I was impressed, really impressed at these girls .. they do not have to envy anything from the boys

The u14 boys were between 13 and 14 and it's obvious that most of them hadn't started puberty. I'd say that, apart from the goalkeeper, the central defenders and the top striker, the rest of the boys were just unpubertal kids, while all the girls had finished growing up. You should know that until puberty there is no physical superiority between boys and girls, but that doesn't stop competition organizers from putting boys up against older girls even in the smallest categories. The girls had a physical superiority in the build-up, particularly in midfield, but they couldn't do anything against the central defense. The boys naturally exploited the girls' weaknesses by playing a direct game.

There's mixed emotions of my analysis of what I saw in this game! Growing up most of my neighbourhood friends and aquaintances played football in youth squads from 6yrs old to about 16yrs..Playing on junior high and high school teams..then on to clubs that played county or state championships and national championships! There was a few women teams around at that time to play against but there was an even lesser number of teenage female teams! I recalled us playing an under 16yr team and an under 20yr team! Our team was a bunch of 13yr olds! I was surprised to see the females scoring goals against these youths! The teams we played never came within a mile of our goal post far less score a goal.. Without a doubt we would've smoked these two mercilessly!

The girls looked more technical than the boys in skills and ball possession but obviously when it comes to most contact sports boys will always be boys. Either ways nice game. Although i would like to point the fact that the girls jersey shorts looked more shorter or mini than the boys. I don't think it's right. Sports wear designers should be more modest with female sportswear as they are with the males in my opinion.

It is not a question of designers they can choose the size of their short and if the girls choose that it bc it is more conforrtble for them.Don't forget they are taller too so the perceptions are different. I know what I'm talking bc I was in a football team and we were able to change the size of the outfit if we wanted. You don't have to dramatize that don't worry 😂

​​@@massimechedou7407 I am a sociologist and my also a footballer too and it's not a matter of comfortability it's about culture and decency. Tomorrow we might just get to see them playing with shorts that looks more like female inner pants just like how we see for most female athletic sprinters. Which is wrong because such kind of trend tends to reinforce the idea of female sexual objectification to an extent. We have created and accepted a culture that promotes such in sports (especially women sports) even some male sports too which is wrong and some of these sports people have taken it to be a comfortable attire. Have you by any chance seen the kind of attire female athletes are coerced to wear in beach volleyball? It's appalling. Some years back the Norwegian or Netherland team decided to wear a kind of moderate shorts but were sanctioned and fined for that action. Can you imagine? In the area of designers approach I can tell you for a fact that they also play a huge role in regards to their preference on female wears. Some times they are of the notion that a feminine wear should be more shorter and tighter than the males to paint a more feminine appeal towards the sport. This is a known fact that was also established before the start of the 2019 women's world cup. I understand your stand and respect it but I am not trying to dramatize things here as you said. All I am saying is we live in very sexually sensitive world today especially in the west. There is need to be emphasis on decency in sports be it men or women.

Little cities Clubs don't care about sexualisation they have their jersey and their shirt and they can change it if its not confortable. So If the girls choose to play with it its probably good. But yeah in society I'm not suprise that sexualisation is even in sports. Maybe women should protest if its an issue but personnally I didn't see alot of women complainning about that. They talk more about salary or popularity of their sport in the world. Or maybe they do this outfit distinction bc they just want us to make a difference btw males and women. And don't forget that the majority of sports have the same outfit for the men and for the women like football, basketball, hockey ect. I personally think that women's outfits seem more sexual bc women's bodies have more shapes and curves so the clothes are tighter. Maybe it give them that effect. Anyway I think its not a good idea to bring this possible society issue in this context bc it is completely different. If they sexualise women in pro sports it is bc they want to attract more audience and gain more money but in that case it just local teams playing football and the only audience are people who watch it on the spot for free and usually its the parents. But I understand your point. Oh btw I taught Women should have the right to wear anything without being critisize so why are you saying it is about culture and decency?
