By experimenting and not 'staying safe'. People derided them for this during their highly experimental 90's - but they were ground breaking. How many other rock bands could have produced something like Zooropa or Pop?? It also helps that they have someone like The Edge.....but all four of them are f*****g amazing.

In my opinion, probably their most solid, A to Z record they have done in a long time. No weak songs. The only thing that I can think of that might have brought this album down, was people felt they were forced to listen to this when Apple automatically included it in the iTunes. It was the best album released that year.

U2 can be world famous artists in the suits of lights on stage, but their videos are completely alternative and never made in a cheesy way. Extremely artistic, probably the only famous band that completely makes the visual side interesting. A short film material. I wondered but startet to listen to it and noticed the wonderful songs, especially „every breaking wave“ - it‘s such a beautiful song and touches my soul everytime I listen to it.
