I have read up on issues with his voice, since I too noticed some problems he had in a couple songs during his show on the 13th in Chicago. Some say that he's just getting old, some say that he's adapting his voice to "a new sound", and a lot of people think it is damage to his vocal cords due to cigar smoking in the early 90s (which is easily assumed if you've so much as seen pictures or videos of him in his Achtung Baby days). Whatever the case, he's still an incredible musician.
