The Edge is unbelievable. I mean he’s playing the Ebow, piano and guitar on this and swapping between them almost effortlessly while lending Bono some supporting backup vocals. It’s insane.

It's my favorite U2 song. A true masterpiece, and possibly the best song of the 80s with Simple Minds's "Hunter & and the Hunted". And yet, unlike many other U2 songs, the studio version is much better than any live version. That's because the studio version is extremely sophisticated and heavily engineered, which cannot be rendered in a live concert.

U2 is still one of the best live bands on the planet & their recent concerts imo are actually some of their best. I loved the 360 tour & Songs of Innocence is imo one of their best albums & tours. Bono's voice has changed as he's gotten older but he's still got an amazing voice. Watch "Every breaking wave" live from the MTV EMA's 2014, it's one of his best vocal performances ever.
