C800 definitely sounds more open and fuller, but by far less than I would have thought. They’re surprisingly close!

I have the lx now for about 7 months and its absolutely fantastic. I had an at4060 eith a great river preamp before. Now i record through the lx straight into the Apollo. Sound quality is so much better which is still hard to understand how this is possible. Thanks again for convincing me. Good luck for your future projects.

Really? Mic A is very sibilant and harsh in the high frequencies and lacks body and has a thin sound. Mic B has a smoother top end and more body to the sound. In the first example atleast.
