Hi Cherita! I would like to share with you a bit of the UAAP CheerDance Competition (UAAP CDC) history. way back in the early 2000s to 2006 the competition was sponsored by NESTLE Non-Stop Ice Cream. back then all teams were required to provide a 1 minute cheer part (all yells and drums) for the said sponsor. so its a 30 sec entrance, 5 min routine, 30 sec set up for Nestle Non-Stop Cheer (if needed) 1 min Nestle Non-Stop Cheer and 30 sec exit. Most teams maximize every second of it and use these 30 sec prep as part of their routine. Also way back then, UAAP CDC is judged on a 100% average (for example [this is not accurate though], 30% choreography, 40% difficulty, 15% Nestle Non-Stop Cheer and 15% Props, Costume and Over-all Impact). Most teams get very creative and when i say creative - excessively creative. I hope you could react to those UAAP CDC seasons, though I highly recommend you start from 2002. (to get a gist of the evolution of cheerleading in the Philippine setting). 2007 onwards new sponsors came in and new judging criteria was introduced. 100pts for stunts, 100pts for pyramids, 100pts for tumblings, 100pts for tosses and an exclusive 100pts for dance (i believe dance has its own subset of criteria as well, cause dance is a vital part of the cheer+dance competition and this is part of the reason why you see so much of it in the whole 5 min routine). not entirely sure of these pointing system though (UAAP CDC fans pls correct me if im wrong). this era really made a huge difference as teams became more and more technical. I hope you see it and react to it especially NU Pep Squad. I'm sure you'd appreciate the enormity of their growth from 2002-present. I know its a lot but I recommend watching these teams (UP, UST, FEU, NU) they have a rivalry and dynasty history in this competition. love you!

Hi i just subscribe to your channel... I love your reaction to this vid... Both a fan of NU and UST... UAAP (university athletics association of the philippines) has its tradition of an annual guessing game with what them would every school would come up with... Its cheer and its dance thats why themes are a big part of every performance... Way back early 2000s most schools tale inspiration from sports it was around 2010 to 2013 when themes became more colorful and much more broad...

The most memorable UAAP cheerdances for me are: 1. 2011 UP Pep Squad's Madonna theme (black suit with golden wigs) 2. 2013 NU Pep Squad's Arabian theme (gypsie attire lots of bending) 3. 2012 UP Pep Squad's Freedom theme (nudist attire and shaved heads including girls) I haven't followed recent UAAP cheerdance competition. So, I'm kind-uh old school. If you are gonna react to them, good luck finding quality audio- videos. KZbin is out of sorts for these older videos.

Even with some mistakes the crowd still cheered for them and gave them all the energy needed to finish that LONG routine! seriously the Worlds crowds need to learn from these audiences and WOW WOW WOW those athletes...I cannot imagine how hard they worked to be on that floor!!!!!!!
