Hi micke ! Long time viewer first time commentator and a commercial pilot myself . Great content especially when knowing the huge preparation needed for such long trips . During my training years ago i had a couple of hours on the da42 which i never forgot after that unfortunately i had to switch my multi engine training to an another type . Safe landings !

Hallo Micke, gutten abend. Greetings from Argentina. What a beautiful b-day present you gave today. I´m following your journey since your first "pond crossing" with Martin a few years ago and I follow you since then. BTW: CONGRATS ON YOUR FOURTH STRIPE ON YOUR SHOULDER! I have a question for you: when I was doing my PP course, my instructor said to me "...when you either ascend or descend thru clouds, you turn OFF your strobe lights because it maight confuse other pilots making them bellive there are lightnings...". Is this still standard procedure? (this was 40 years ago, so maybe things changed since). Perhaps when you read this comment (if so) you probably had reached your final destination. I´d like to thank you so much for taking me (us) along your career. It must be a challenging joy to work with Diamond. See you next time for sure. Cheers from NE Argentinian Patagonia. Your birds reminded me of an occasion when, in a friend's Europa, we "rolled" what appeared to be a goose over the port wing. Didn't see it at all until it contacted the wing. Happily for us...no damage to the wing at all....bad day for the bird.

How is the noise canceling of your headset? Is it as good as the A20?

Not as good as the A20 but it works in the DA40/42/62. 👍🏼👍🏼

The Proflight works great in the DA42! slightly louder than the A20 but I love it!

I enjoy your videos and the aircraft you are employed to fly. I have an observation, having spent forty years in general and business aviation. You seem to be very impatient. On Episode 1 of this ferry flight, you became impatient with ATC, and a possible hold, and then worked unnecessarily hard during your approach. In other videos I have seen that you make errors with your RT responses and you tend to run through your checklists overly fast, which means you miss items. I have spent thousands of hours flying all over the globe. If you get impatient, you are guaranteed to make mistakes. Slow down. Take time to enjoy the journey and be polite when dealing with ATC. They might just save your life, sometime in the future.
