You should never, EVER, use wagyu in a burger. I guarantee if you go to Virginia's, (as a luxury option at $20) or 7th street Burger (as the real deal best burger in NYC at $7) you will get an equally juicy patty with much more flavor, made with regular chuck/round for less money. AND you won't be disrespecting that beautiful beef by being mildly pleasantly surprised at it not being bad. For gods SAKES this is WAGYU! It needs to be prepared as a steak or a bite of steak with loving careful attention, not ground up and made into a god damned BURGER!

Just cause it’s wagyu doesn’t mean it’s special. They could be making a patty with top round of a wagyu cattle and that would be perfect use for a burger. You’re just assuming it’s from a nice cut of wagyu steak like sirloin, which would definitely be pointless.
@nathansimpson2363 Жыл бұрын
@@brozors It wouldn't be a perfect use for a burger because it would be way too damn fatty, even if it was wagyu top round

@@nathansimpson2363 You clearly don't know what you're talking about. I've made Wagyu Beef patties and SRF's Wagyu Patties and they're some of the best burgers you'll ever eat. The waghyu you are thinking of is not what all these guys are using in their burgers. There are many different grade and kinds of waghyu which doesn't = Kobe beef. So it's not that cow you are thinking off.
@uaeats Жыл бұрын
Yeah actually when it comes to Kobe beef, pretty much no beef outside of Japan is Kobe beef since it has to come from Kobe, Japan. So most "Kobe beef" in the US is basically false advertisement. I would imagine Saltbae's restaurant is using American wagyu and not wagyu flown in from Japan though that's just my guess.
