is the flap held back in place by a magnet or not? How do you shoot video and pics, the flap is dangling about?

No magnet holding it back m You just have to let the flap hang down, when you shoot videos and take pictures. You get used to it after a while

hi thanks for the review. does the camera bump more elevated than the camera itself? i need assurance that it can protect the camera

I can't give you a true assurance because nothing is guaranteed. UAG has given you enough protection with this case, for what a case can do👍 that's made very well. You have to do your part and that's hold on to your smartphone while sporting this case. That's a huge camera area with a lot of space there's plenty of lip plenty of depth surrounding that huge camera so again you have to play a part in protecting your investment as well. With that being said in my opinion the case will do great, you have to be as great, as the case as well.

I've picked up the last 4 years of iPhone Smartphone Series, this is the year that I'm skipping. With that being said, in this video l mentioned I'm using a dummy/replica device, that does not turn on. It's just for reviewing cases. Honestly I don't think there are too many KZbinrs out there reviewing this case with the actual device, that test those areas out. If I had the real Device, I would make that video for you, I've been known to make videos for special requests, this one I just cannot do, my apologies. But because UAG is as good as they are I honestly don't think you're going to have any issues utilizing that camera cut out and taking pictures and shooting video and making and receiving phone calls. If you do purchase this case remember you can return it. If it doesn't quite work the way you want it to. Thanks for watching hopefully you are subscribed to the team ✌️

@@raymondclarke2171 to take selfies you would have to flip the cover flap back and just snap away it's a pretty simple process. As far as phone calls, open the flap to receive the phone call you can close the flap and speak easily and clear, due to the fact that the speaker is at the bottom right hand corner your voice will be delivered directly into that area. That little cut out up top of the Case, allows the earpiece to be exposed so you don't have issues with listening to the other party.

@@raymondclarke2171 it does not fold. It will be flapping about making all sorts of nuisances and inconveniences. Don't buy if you shoot lots of vids and pics. These "reviewers" don't review anything, apart from the looks.
