Can you describe what you saw?? I also had an incredible experience when I was a kid, back in 94 or 95. An object at a very high altitude doing fast and impossible "zig zag" movements, and disappearing like a gun bullet 2 minutes later. Me and the other 6 people who were present at that time were sure that it was an object (not a natural phenomena or something) and 99% chance to not being human.

I believe you. I have written out the story of that night a number of times and it is a bit of a long story. The whole event lasted for a couple of hours and there is just so much for me to write that I really don't want to write it all out again so I will just sum up as best I can. First it just seemed like a large star except unlike all the other stars it was stationary. So while all the regular stars moved as they do thru the night sky That one stayed in the same spot. It was so weird that I could not understand it and so I kept watching it for hours to make sure I was not seeing things. Once I was sure it was not moving I looked directly at it and thought in my head What the hell is that and at that exact moment is when it moved an came down from a large "star" in a series of 4 or 5 hops to stop dead silent just over the tree line. Every cricket stopped chirping, every frog stopped croaking the entire place went dead silent. I just laid there with my mouth open stunned. After a few minutes what appeared to be a ring of like ballards turned counter clockwise and this light came on that was unlike any light that I have ever seen before or since. The only way I can describe it is to say that the light was almost liquid. There were no shadows yet everything was illuminated. I could somehow see the bottoms of the leaves just as well as the tops of them. It was very strange. I mean if you shine a light in the bush at night it is mostly shadows but not with that thing. So after the light came on it hopped from where it was to just over and behind me, then hopped again like it was zig zagging I guess, Then it hopped to above the ridge, then hopped and it was gone out of my sight. Now when I say hopped I don't mean moved from spot to spot I mean that thing was there, and then it was there and then it was over there. Kind of like a strobe light effect but instant. Once it was gone all the frogs and crickets slowly started up again. I was not the only one who saw it but sadly everyone else who saw it is dead now. That is the short version of what happened that night and I am telling you, what ever that thing was, it was not human engineered and that was almost 50 years ago now.@@Rodrigo-hx6bs

Alright, I’ll share my UFO encounter story for anyone interested. :) It happened in the winter of 1996 in a small German village. I got home from school by train in the late afternoon when it was already dark outside. My walk to my house took me only 4 minutes, and I had to cross a badly lit parking lot into the small street I was living at, which was just as dark as the parking lot. Being a daydreamer, I walked absent-minded, looking down at my feet as usual when I took a left turn into the dark parking lot. The very moment I reached the middle of the parking lot, my surroundings became bright as daylight, as if a huge spotlight had suddenly been switched on, flooding the whole area with light. I remember feeling puzzled, but not scared. I lifted my head upwards in order to see where the light came from, and there I saw a rectangular spotlight right above my head. It was huge, so huge I couldn’t even spot the beginning or end of it. As I turned my head to see more, I realized that the rectangular spotlight was just one segment of a long line of spotlights. Then, just a second later, the whole thing suddenly took off into the sky at lightning speed, but without any sound. I could still see it for a second, and from a distance, the many rectangular spotlights blurred into a circle, so it appeared like a circle of light. And then it was gone. I remember standing still for a few more seconds, feeling nothing. No fear, no excitement, no nothing. I slowly walked the small distance to my house, and there I found my mum standing outside, her whole body shaking. She looked at me with a frightened expression, was relieved to see me, and then asked me if I had seen that huge light? She knew I was on my way home, and when she saw that light appear, she feared that I might encounter it. I just calmly responded that I was standing right beneath it. Her eyes widened in shock, and she asked me: „What was it??“ And I just said: „It was only a „Lichtspiel“.“ „Lichtspiel“ is German, and the literal translation is „light game“. This word can still be used for things like „light shows / laser shows“, but in general it’s quite an old-fashioned word that isn’t really commonly used for anything in modern German. Not only didn’t it make any sense to have a „laser show“ on a deserted parking lot in a small village during the week with no audience, I also just went to bed and slept without thinking about what had just happened to me at all. But when I woke up the next morning, I felt startled immediately. I also wondered why on earth I had told my mum that it was a „Lichtspiel“?? When I approached her with my delayed concerns, she said that she was confused by my strange reaction and weird explanation and was quite relieved that I now acted „normally“ again. The story found its surprising and slightly scary end about 20 years later. Right at that parking lot where the UFO had appeared, there’s an old building that used to be a small cinema in the 50s, i.e. long before I was born. As long as I lived in my parents’ house, the inhabitants of that former cinema had painted the outer walls, including an old signboard that was still attached to the door that used to be the cinema’s ticket sale. 20 years later, the house was sold to new owners, and they decided to restore some of the old cinema exteriors, and now the original letters on the signboard were visible: they read „LICHTSPIELE“…! When I saw this, it felt like I got hit by a lightning bolt. I wasn’t aware that „Lichtspiele“ was the word used for „Cinema“ in the 40s and 50s, and when I saw that UFO in 1996, the signboard was painted and the letters weren't visible. Yet this was what I told my mum about what I saw at the parking lot - which didn’t make any sense. Looking back, I feel like I got home slightly hypnotized, talking about a „Lichtspiel“, just like others claim to have seen „just a weather balloon“.

My thinking is that he has been shown evidence from reliable sources of Non human aircraft. He cant just say that in this hearing due to the laws around classification, he would go to jail (else he would just answer no?) we are 4 lyr from the closest system our galaxy is perhaps 250,000 lyr wide, and we are surrounded by and merging with smaller galaxies, some with very ancient stars, and Andromeda galaxy is 2.5mil lyr away.. so, there's that. Can we people who know what they are talking about to ask the questions

well, let me answer the very good question of Mr. Burlison, why a species is advanced enough to travel thousands of light years and then crash in Earth atmosphere by example. We as a mankind are advanced enough to bring a space craft into space, to propel this craft to other planet like Mars on Venus, but we never managed to make a craft that could land on Venus and survive more then seconds. We are getting better with crafts landing on Mars, but even here not every craft lands successfully and if it lands it still has systems that fail prematurely. And Mars is not as hostile for us then Venus. To sum it up, we are advanced enough to leave Earth, fly to the planet in our solar system pretty confidently, or even land on its surface with good chance of survive-ability, but we still have very high failure rate. So a hypothetical advanced species able to leave its own system and travel to Earth thousands of light years can still experience some failures in Earth atmosphere or surface from time to time, dont you think so?

I agree, and we don't know whether or not our military, or some other military, was actively trying to track and/or destroy some of the crashed craft. An alien race that's just sending its first probes to Earth, might not have been prepared for encountering certain weapons, radar frequencies, jamming equipment, bikinis, and so forth.

The Milkyway is 100,000 light years across, and our sun is out on a spiral arm. So 1000 light years from earth would include millions of stars while our galaxy would have around 100 billion. The universe has 200 billion or more galaxies.
