Homage to Stephanie Jones for her beautiful combination of technique with and musicality. She breathes the music, like a singer and puts her emotions into each piece. What a great future we have in store listening to her. Thanks you.

No, the people saying no is the no-people. Instead you have us, the yes-people, we say yes and then ask to what? But in this case I am pretty sure all agree that this is a marvellous playing that we all say yes to, and if someone still say no, it is probably because there is a problem going to the toilet. It is uptaken. Still I appreciate your music very much! Thank you, all of the gang! I mean it, really! You are wonderful musicians!

Out of the chaos comes pretty little melodies that stimulate one to believe that life is not all about the traffic jam, the hordes of people and their desires you cannot give them. But the pretty melodies make one imagine that even the city planners cannot shut out all of the country life and nature.

Magical piece, delicate intensity in the playing - also, wonderful ensemble integration among guitarists who each seem individually talented, a new sort of guitaristic "Budapest-String-Quartet," performing as if they are 1 instrument. The guitars themselves sound excellent (I think!); they deserve more recording clarity in the mid- & lower lines/strings, especially when each is a single component of an ensemble.
@michaeldavidrubin88234 жыл бұрын
@Log Splitta Did you? Regret that I'm on the wrong side of the planet; & haven't followed Stephanie's career in detail. You prompt an imaginary/fantasy voyage...interesting to select (I can only assume) such a great space, offering a sonority to frame this intense composition, whose character presents (to my ear) intimacy & modernity. I forget, of course, that mic/amplification is the norm today; so, The Weimar Qrt. could, no doubt, bring their sonic quality & virtuosity to a football stadium. Whenever human audiences are once more permitted by the bureaucrats...

Michael very true but pretty respectable for a classical guitar ensemble playing a modern piece from a mostly unknown composer. Around here you wouldn't get 50 people to a performance of that. Even with several classical guitar programs at universities nearby it would be a tough sell. KZbin at least provides a platform.
@misha1d17 жыл бұрын
I have shared this everywhere I can. I think it is a fantastic performance and a very interesting piece. The players have some pretty good chemistry too. Stephanie Jones brought me here, but all of the musicians perform this piece well.

After several more views/listens, it seems even more impressive, both composition & performance. The luthiers, it would seem only fair to mention, deserve credit, too - those sound like very fine instruments, in support of this total production (notwithstanding my earlier mild gripe about one aspect of the audio engineering). Btw how does Jakob do the videography & still play his part? Multiple cameras + later editing? Always curious re perfecting this relatively new art form, the YT classical music video. Hoping for more from Stephanie & her Weimar artists.
