That would only be true if neither team is playing in the CCG (or playing each other). Ideally, they should each have a bye the week after. BYU was the last regular season game for Utah in 2018. Utah got caught overlooking BYU & then exerted all of their energy for the come back. They came out completely flat against Washington.

He would need to commit to a rebuild, and probably 3 years minimum. Players are going to hit the portal like crazy this year. It could take 3 years or it could take 10 years.

I love Coach Whittingham but he has lost his team the last two years. If his pride won't let him retire then things will get worse. All the great coaches have a time when the game passes them by unless they retire before the decline. Utah is at a crucial juncture.

@bnelson_mtb Re-watch the youtube video. He said Cam's NIL is $1M+. Injuries are part of the game and to have option #2 a true freshman (Wilson) was not the most brilliant move in the world. Whitt should be held accountable and move on after the season. Being ranked #1 in pre-season and now being near to last is difficult to justify. No other scape goats around except the head coach!

If Shadeur Sanders got hurt I guarantee Colorado's backup is 10x worse. Not saying it isn't Whitt's fault but I don't think he did anything glaringly wrong.
