UB First Listen: MC Lyte Taps Queen Latifah for 'King King'

Legendary hip hop artist MC Lyte is gearing up for the release of her new album “1 of 1.”
Today UB has your First Listen of the new single King King, featuring legendary Queen Latifah. The song will be available, tomorrow Friday June 28th.
“King King” follows the release of the lead single “Woman” feat. Salt, Big Daddy Kane, and Raheem DeVaughn.
The electrifying and authentic body of music is designed to inspire, uplift, and educate listeners, while showcasing MC Lyte’s signature blend of love, braggadocio, and storytelling.
Since her release of “LEGEND” over a decade ago, MC Lyte returns with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. Executive produced by multi-Grammy award-winning producer Warryn Campbell.
The collaboration between MC Lyte and Campbell brings together legendary hip-hop producers such as King of Chill, Easy Mo B, Knottz, and DJ Scratch to create a dynamic sound that pays homage to LYTE’s iconic hits while pushing boundaries with fresh energy from newcomer Koncept out of IE.
“1 of 1” is scheduled for release later this summer via My Block Inc and Sunni Gyrl Inc in partnership with Vydia.
