Reading this comment made me happy. My projects in both my bachelors and masters were on the vestibular system and most of the time I felt like an idiot stumbling around uni, compared to everyone else who wasn't working on the vestibular system. I would have to disagree with the comment that movement is chaos, unless you are using the conceptual definition of chaos as "unseen order"...movement is the height of expressed order...it makes sense that little is needed to monitor or process it, as the systems view of reflexes innate to every part of the body, are the monitoring system within a specific context... Meaning that its the distributive aspects of our neurology that define our ability to monitor our movement...if such monitoring was based on some central control, our skull would not be able to contain all the required neurology that would be needed for such a thing...its the same in all systems...distributive functionality defines emergent behavior of the whole
