Hi!! Wats the purpose of powdered sugar in the filling? Is it okay if i dont use it?

It is a sweetener, but most importantly it adds structure to your filling. Its best to use it

Can you use regular all purpose flour since i am allergic to almond??

Hi Desa. I have not try to use All purpose flour on any of my Macarons. I will try to do APF next time to experiment and share it here in my channel. I just hope it works🙏🏼. I know Macarons is so delicate and finicky to make but once you get the hang of it, its not that hard.

yana ashlee hi 👋. You can do it by hand using whisk. It might take a while to beat the egg whites but it’s possible. You need stiff peaks meringue for this recipe. You need to beat egg whites vigorously, minimum of 20minutes or more it depend on how fast you beat the egg whites. If you have electric hand mixer you can use that as well, it’s alot more easier than doing it by hand. I hope this helps.

Hi. I only had available the ube powder, that’s why i gave it a try. Still pretty good. The second set of ingredients should give you a more smooth top texture. I will make a video soon with the ube extract. 🤗

It’s powdered purple yum. You can find that in most Asian market. For ube extract i use McCormick Ube flavor extract. For gel food coloring i use Wilton brand www.target.com/p/wilton-neon-gel-food-color-set-4ct/-/A-14936449 Happy Baking. Let me know if you have anymore questions. 🙂

Sarah J's Kitchen Creations ooh ok. Yeah i saw the powdered purple yam to my nearest asian store and i was hesitate to buy it because what i know they use that as a sub for purple yam itself. But good to know. Thank you. Yeah i already bought a food coloring gel The mccormick one. I am just waiting for my ube extract from amazon😊. Be making this once i have all my ingredients. in the egg whites no, they will not whip properly when there is water or fat
