Finally! Great quality content that actually shows what is being done. Appreciate this so much. As an analyst myself who dips into engineering in my company, #DataEngineering posts in linkedin are helpful but no one shows you the stuff, rarely if at all. I'm sick of modern content simply showing me the star schema diagram and telling me to do this and that; I want to see what the tables look like and how it's made hahaha super love this!!!

Thanks for the video, it was great. for the OS of your machine, set it to Debian 11 or older, or Ubuntu 22 or older. This is because in the next steps, you aren't required to set up a virtual environment on them which adds some extra work to your process. In the latest version of linux, you have to set up a virtual environment to separate python files from the OS.

Watched the whole video to understand everything from data modelling on lucid chart to writing data loading and transformation code on jupyter to launching gcp console and creating instance to setting up the environment and adding ports to the firewall to installing python and setting up the pandas and mage-ai and Google-cloud and big query library to launching our mage ui on the instance and running the code and saving our data in the bigquery and making an analytics table from there to making a dashboard or looker. Understood each and everything now going to do the project without watching the video again. Wish me luck :) going to make this project and upload it on LinkedIn in a few hours 🙂💯 Thanks for explaining in detail and going in-depth ❤

@hamzaamir3305

I just reached the passenger count df creation 34:31 and I'm thinking that passenger counts could be same for sooo many rides, and solely checking the passenger_count would remove all the rows that have the same number of passengers. But if we compare all the columns, those same rows with same passenger counts could have different pick/drop locations, different timings, and due to that they won't be considered duplicates and won't be wrongly dropped. I could be wrong, this is what I understand according to my logic.

You clear my doubt in creating Fact table and Dim table, what I understand here is that fact table are quantitative variable column that can change e.g. numeric column that change with time, while Dim table are descriptive variable column that don't change e.g. column names , column products etc. Also primary key is contain in fact table and Dim table primary key id becomes foreign key id in the fact table. it was so confusing before now in power bi for me. but get the logic now. Thanks
