@@cudikid97 just put a pedal kit on it and it'll be legally compliant. it doesn't affect the top speed but it won't be as comfortable. other than that just be mindful of where you ride it and respect traffic laws. you should also put some headlights on it and a turn signal kit because not having those might also get you pulled over, but at least it won't get impounded.

Depending on where you live as long as you pull the battery most of these won't steal your bike because they know in order to ride it they're going to have to put a good amount of money into it, so it deters most thieves, but if you live in a really grimy City where people pretty much steal every single thing that isn't bolted to the ground, then I would definitely lock it up, I use a tracker or a tag on top of a lock.
