100% agree! I’ve been driving for Uber and Lyft for the last 4 years now, and they keep playing dirty and dirtier each year. Now they will only give you the better rides if you rent a car for $340 something dollars per WEEK from them. The rest of us who use our own cars are just getting $3,$4,$ 5 dollars rides and the worst of the worst rides. TERRIBLE COMPANIES 😠

Who in the right mind would agree to a $2500 insurance deductible? Furthermore, Uber's cut (trip take rate) is between 35% to 85% from passenger payment, unbelievable, why aren't any of these criminal scammers not in the jail? Have the apps open on Feb 14th the Valentines but don't take any trips, in that way those who are going to work on that day don't get any surge for lack of drivers at least. Moreover, Gig apps should pay the independent contractor (the driver) same as what France passed for new 2024 rates: $1.70 per mile for the vehicle (or 1 Euro per Km) AND minimum $0.55 cents (or Euros) PER MINUTE for driver's effort. And those rates should run like a stopwatch on the phones on every second & miles (Km) driven, separately like a old taxy cab meter. Furthermore, those rates should be updated weekly depending on gas/petrol prices, inflation & etc, & never should be lower than what I suggested because it's not year 2015 although Uber, Door Dash, Lyft, Grub Hub, Roadie thinks so.

Could it be because drivers now get only 50% of what customers pay for each trip? I wonder...

Drivers getting 30-35% from the fare only and work for $4-5 an hour after cost. Even there is a $15 minimum pay in California

This CEO wants his 54 Million Bonus for keeping the stock over $60 per share for 3 month. He steal every penny from drivers. One driver reporting a fare of $0,28 for an delivery. So if you buy this stock this CEO will shoevel your money into his pocket by getring his 54 Million bonus.

It used to be possible to make some decent money doing rideshare, but it seems those days are gone. First Uber disrupted and nearly destroyed the taxicab industry. Then Lyft came along and started a price war. Now nobody makes any money. Not taxicab drivers or rideshare drivers. And it will only get worse as the number of rideshare drivers continues to swell. The result will be fewer and fewer requests per driver, and less and less surge pricing due to the saturation of cars. First Uber ruined the taxicab business. Then Uber and Lyft together ruined rideshare. They don't care, and they're not interested in fixing it.

Please don’t buy into the height. If this was really profitable, it would have done a two to one split this guy is a Pied Piper and it’s gonna come back to bite him in the ass. Trust me it’s gonna be a lot of lawsuits of this guy shaving pennies off of runs that Uber drivers do he has no integrity to be a CEO saying that drivers are making $33 an hour so unfounded

Net Income = 221 Million; Market Cap = 141.97 Billion USD. hahahhahaahha! It is a joke! 🤣 It is just a matter of weeks, that people will start shorting it... again... 😝

the bad news is how horribly they're still treating their drivers! still paying slave wages, etc. an absolutely criminal company (and Lyft is no better.. actually worse!)

They are... 50% goes in their pockets. Do they drive, maintain the cars, pay insurance or deal with 💩 customers? No its all because of their stupid app. If I had 10k to throw away I would hire a dev and have my own app created

@@obieone21 i'm not a fan of any huge corporation, but i have a special disdain for the gig economy. many of them get caught stealing tips, etc. they break tons of laws without a care. they take advantage of the drivers so much, it's stomach turning. (and i don't use apple products or buy nike gear, if that tells you anything)

What you need to know: The bigger the uber profit is, the more drivers are exploited and underpaid.
