Ten years ago I had to fight in front of a judge , over them trying force me to do jury duty. I told lady I'm not helping you put people away for none victim crimes, so stop putting me on your a list. I haven't been called, thank god I have better things to do

20YRS ago i did something stupid. Got 2yrs Probabtion. Jumped through all the hoops. Did everything the PO demanded i do. The little witch tried 5 ways from sunday to revoke my probabtion. The final time I had to show up in court. I had the docket, I was on it. I got there at 8:AM Cambridge Mass court. They never called me. I sat there 8hrs. The Judge must have seen me giving him the stink eye. Finally, he looked and said what are you doing in my court. I mentioned the PO's name. He said she went home early today. i SAID i was never called. He looked over, banged his gavel. Free to go. I didn't wanna deal with anyone having power over my life ever again. I waited them out.

Love what you did. When I was called for jury duty,they asked if anyone had a reason why they couldn't serve. I told them our system sucks and I've already made up my mind. He's guilty. He had a gun in his pocket. Why have a trial? Sorry for this being so long. I was excused.

Don't forget - just because you're in court doesn't mean you remember what you saw. You could have completely forgotten what happened. It happens to politicians (think Ron Reagan and Bill Clinton) all the time!! They can never seem to recall anything in court!

But you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT, I've sat to see the proceedings against a drunk driver that hit me while running from the cops, only to watch them go to recess four times before lunch, and come back half an hour late from lunch, and continue the case once a month for a year. They never know if the prisoner transport van from 7:00 AM made it to court by 10:00 AM, or if specific prisoners were never transported to court in the first place! (Or issuing Failure-to-Appears which culminate in a Violation of Probation for prisoners that are incarcerated in other parts of the state and the prison didn't transport them due to a massive snowstorm.) One bailiff threatened to eject this old lady from the courtroom for letting out two tiny coughs, you're not allowed to ever look anywhere but straight towards the judge (even if you're in the "audience"), but the court-appointed attorney can play Sudoku right in front of everyone, photocopied out of the ONE newspaper they pass around the entire courthouse, every staffer working on the same Sudoku puzzle even during court cases, to the point where they sometimes ask the judge to repeat himself. When the bailiff says "All Rise," you have exactly 0.5 seconds to be at military attention before he shouts it again at you and starts walking over to intervene. I was threatened with contempt because the "church pews" where my feet barely touch the floor (I'm 6'2") had made my bad back stiffen up, and it took me almost 2 whole seconds to stand up straight. I once bailed a friend out of jail, the paperwork was processed and he was to be released, and then he was taken anyway to a Hi-Max 90 minutes from the courthouse (instead of the one ten minutes away), processed completely through the system, tossed in a cell, and an hour later retrieved from the cell, processed back out of the system, and booted out the front door into a rainstorm. He had to ask a bail bonds shop for the use of the phone to call me so I knew what the heck was going on, because so many people dropped the ball along the way and nobody could give me a straight answer on his status. It's just so... Wow. 'Murica!

I am NOT a lawyer, but my understanding is this...if a judge doesn't appear in court or excuses themselves from the courtroom, the case is automatically dismissed. I don't know what state you live in, but out of curiosity sake, find out if that's the case in your state and let us know

To be fair, because the Judge could not be reached, we don't know why he was late. I wouldn't have jumped to the conclusion that the Judge didn't care without more data. only issue i had with the video is that saying "we pay your salary" implies that we choose to pay for their services..the reality is they extort the money..i know taxes will never go away and will always exist no matter where one goes but i won't pretend that it's something i happily paying for because i wanted it. Also they aren't criminals until they are convicted..that was the other issue i had with the video but beyond that i liked it.

The drivers should be getting paid even if app is not recording trips. Currently many people are driving. Uber support has not told any driver to stop using the app. So my guess is that we cant see our fairs but they can. Should be seen by tomorrow. This should not be a scare. Lets see:)

On another note, when they call you up to testified and you really don't want too cause it can hurt you, you can always just say " I don't recall " when they ask questions. There's the, I plea the 5th which is always the go to response but if your being forced like in your case, unless you can prove that what you say can hurt you criminally, then that may not be good enough. The, " I don't recall " is a legal term used a lot on Depo's and there's really nothing they can do about it. You say I really don't want to purge myself by lying so unless you want me to outright lie on the stand ( which they won't ) then this is what you get. If you say, you don't know " and it's a lie then you can be held in contempt, so the " I don't recall " kinda covers your ass. Just a little advice, hope it all works out.

I think this is your Best Video I've seen so far. I was kind of thinking about trying this uber thing, and I watched you go from this Make Everyone's World Perfect kind of Guy to realizing life always seems to take a Grapes of Wrath turn. Your's being that the rate cut of the new year to .80 cents a mile. Things kept going down hill. But what I do commend you for besides all of the entertainment, is never forgetting to be an American and still embracing the American can do spirit despite the b.s. that life throws our way.
