I think Dara needs a touch of reality when it comes to taxi service. Later this year, Tesla will be so good it will be ready for legal FSD, and Ubers business model will no longer work. For all those who don't know how well FSD works, take the time to watch a few videos, and remember the Data collection that Tesla has is MANY orders of magnitude more than anyone else has. Tesla's lead is so far ut there no one will ever give them competition. It will be much cheaper AND safer to just license it from Tesla.

Do the math... 10 gal gas @ 3.00/gal = $30.00. That buys me 500 miles of travel for $30.00 and 5 minutes of my time. Compare any EV to that. -Range anxiety -Charging Infastructure -Limited Technology Support -Weather anxiety -incopatibility between products Who has done the math on EV cost per mile. $30.00 = 470 miles What does a $300 charge get you?

He looks defeated. Game over for Uber. Hopefully for the hundreds of thousands of drivers worldwide Waymo and Tesla will come up with a model where the drivers can buy/rent the car and maintain it, and for that they get a cut on the income when they send it out autonomously. This will reduce the capex for Tesla and Waymo, and keep individuals still in the game versus totally unemployed.

Tesla doesn’t need Uber. Tesla will undercut them in price with a superior product. Uber drivers have been taken advantage of from day one and will defect and own Teslas on their proprietary platform. An autonomous Tesla will make USD 25k/year net to a driver and cost USD 35-40k.

I own a Brand New Tesla, trust me all I am getting is $3 rides. No comfort ev rides!! I get it rarely and with very bad fares. Its a big loss for me, as I am charging outside which is way expensive than GAS. The EV bonus that Uber offers monthly is $210 for 200 rides. Shame shame shame
