I work at car dealer on Dale Mabry. When I leave work, turn the app on, and I'm usually pinged within minutes. I find the Howard Ave bar strip is my most common drop spot, but I've been all over the area. I don't chase surge, just let the app ping me.

Best for that I think is in St Pete. Lots of Hotels and travelers going to the airport. Clearwater area is always good but in the end its still a hit or miss.

uber eats was good for a while but this last month its dried up. I had good ratings on my service so i know its not that. Ive heard the rates went up alot from riders so they no longer order food with it.

@Michael Davenport it's called being a scumbag. If ur budget is that strict ur not using Uber or Lyft. It's cheaper to take a bus or bike. U can always tip 1 dollar it's alot better then nothing

lol only 1 in 4-5 riders tip in the nw tampa area. Its just the way it works. Providing good service does help but not as much as i would hope. Id rather have consistent trips with no downtime. the tips are a nice bonus when they occur. RE: uber drivers ive transported 3-4 at least and about 1 in 4 has tipped me so the percentage is probably about the same.
