Was really hoping for another Alien Isolation in a different setting, A Quiet Place would've been perfect. Then I found out the mic detection is scuffed and if you make enough noise above a threshold, instant game over. Locked in place, and in the case of the vents, teleported to a suitable location for the animation to play. That shit was WILD to see, can't believe they actually put that in the game. I get that the Death Angels are absurdly deadly, but this just feels cheap. The Xenomorph at least needs to find you. In this game, you could be inside the fuckin pyramids and they'll still be able to summon you like a GMod admin. Reminds me of stealth games that instantly fail the mission if you're caught, and I don't think anyone enjoyed those.

It would have been really funny if the difficulty options added the downsides your character has. Like, on Easy you're just pregnant. On Medium you're pregnant and you get scared easily. On Hard you get the whole deal. Pregnant, scared easily, panic attacks, asthma, the whole works. And before anyone gets on my case for saying being pregnant is a downside, it absolutely is in this environment. Also, after ALL that, you're telling me these monsters can die to a shotgun???? Bro, how the hell did Humanity lose against the ONE alien invasion we could have absolutely aced? These aliens would have gotten rounded up and shot within weeks.

Ok, so I haven't finished the vid yet, I'm about 1hr and 40mins into it so far and I've never watched the movie this is based off of. Why are they not able to simply kill the monsters? are they immune to bullets? does even the military have nothing strong enough to kill these things? even tanks? Helicopters? can they not set up some kind of traps that are basically big spikey domes with something in the middle that makes loud sounds to lure the monsters into jumping into the spikes or something?? Edit: So later on it shows a flashback of them trying to drive away and she can only stun the monsters by shooting their hands, but can't do any damage to them in the heads point-blank with a shotgun... BUT THEN AT THE END ON THE BOAT SHE SHOOTS IT WITH A PISTOL AND IT DIES???? In games like this, it just makes me wonder how the hell the situation turns into a post-apocalyptic world with humanity on the brink of extinction when we literally have so many powerful weapons to counteract this... I mean, if a pistol can kill these things, then a shotgun to the head, a rifle to the head, ect, can absolutely do the same. Plus, there are silencers for these weapons as well to help reduce noise. How in the world did the situation they are in get this bad?? Surely if a regular pistol can kill these things then the military can just demolish them.
