Yep he could've. The only problem with that is sometimes if you're not in the same frame with the shell it doesn't move. So you have to run fast

Yeah, that's what I thought. On that bottom row, you definitely can. It will kill the enemies, possibly activate the POW at the end. The only potential issue is not being able to get over it to reach the door above.
