St. Padre Pio is one of my 'favorite' saints. I'm an Asian and knew little about this holy man rather than he was given a gift of Stigmata and long hours of staying in the confession box. I was very fortunate to meet and be blessed by Padre Pio in 1957. I am sure he has helped me in my 89 years on this earth in making the right decisions in life. My daughter developed a arthritic disease at the age of 1 that they gave her 1 year to live.She is alive today at age 61 however confined to a wheelchair for 55 years. I asked God to keep her alive and I gave up smoking as a promise..
