This a true story(stories) of three different individuals all battling addiction. Two of us are still here, myself and the mother of my son. The third (her brother) lost his life to Heroin overdose. Rest In Paradise COURTNEY SPINX

I escaped from my addiction to heroin I used everyday for 3 months and just got sick of feeling tired all the time... My family don't even know I was doing it at the time but eventually my sister found out and it was then I decided to escape cold turkey no rehab no detox and honestly it's the best thing I've ever done for myself... Hope everyone can learn from the mistakes of others and the words to this song... Peace Love stay rockin

Been a fan for ten plus years now. Been sober almost as long, hit the ten year mark last October 24th. Music was a big part of my recovery in the beginning, and CES CRU was a big part of that music. Found you guys before signing to Strange, and got to watch your careers grow as my recovery time grew too. This is yet another reason why I really respect UBI. Thanks for making this. ^S^

Addiction and drugs are real shit. I do believe drugs have a purpose but without limits they will negatively affect a person, I’m glad you’re safe from them and hope you do what makes you happy man.
@ibbgolf2 жыл бұрын
How did you get and stay sober?
@strangerofthe20672 жыл бұрын
@@ibbgolf well I got sober in jail actually, went from doing 3-4 80mg OxyContins a day to cold turkey in the detox tank, and then spent like 4 months in jail. Worst four months of my life, was enough to make me never touch the shit again, put myself in rehab right when I got out of jail and never looked back! I was hooked on that shit for like 5 years or so and destroyed my life during that time, but decided I’d had enough and got my shit together and it turned into the biggest blessing in my life!
@strangerofthe20672 жыл бұрын
@@ibbgolf and as far as staying sober, it wasn’t easy, especially at first, but I actually moved away from where I was right after rehab, stayed in outpatient programs for a while, and kinda just rebuilt my life over again after that. Had to stay away from my “home” area for a few years and just do my own thing before finally getting to a point where I could return again knowing that I had put that part of my life behind me. And honestly, the first month of going cold turkey and being stuck in a small ass room with ten other people going through withdrawals was like hell on earth for me and I never ever wanted to go through it again, so that was a huge influence on why I was done with it.

I myself have walked that same road. Seeing my close friends dying all around me and it was still never enough to quit. Addiction is the devil and is always trying to find it's way back into your life. Sober for almost 4 years, with the most beautiful daughter in the world. I'm so glad she never had to see her father at his worst and I can now give her the best of me. If you are still struggling with addiction, please know that you are loved and it can be overcome. I was stuck in that space of always telling myself it's too late for me or why should I even try. Please know that after the first year of being sober, you will be overwhelmed at how your life has changed for the better. You are lost, not a lost cause.

The same thing with tech n9ne and, even more so, immortal technique. After so many shows your voice gets gruffer due to using your vocal cords so much.
