Ubisoft doesn't know how to take a win without giving you a reason to hate them along with it. 1. It's a limited time mode. 2. They reset everyone's attachments for no reason. 3. The swapped at least one operator's (Doc) guns around so that when you want to use his mp5, you instead have his terrible pump shotgun. Real shame it’s limited. It’s as close as we got to an official story mode after we lost T hunt and Situations. They should keep it going. Ostensibly Deimos hired the White Masks as a terror group to reactivate Rainbow. He and the Keres Legion have been the main villains of this ongoing story.

Update: Tried to play the event 9 times now to show a friend what it is all about. Key word there is tried to play because every single time and I do mean every time either our team would lag out or the enemy team would. The few times that we were able to even get to round 2 l, everyone would end up dying on team rainbow because yet other bug is that you can still kill each other even after the round is over and the screen is black. Oh yes, this is the best event this game has seen.

Its fun, except that you can't mute the enemy team because the buttons are greyed out. Had this one game where one enemy was so loud, probably with the intention to annoy everyone. Ended up going to the setting and change the whole voice chat volume to 0 just to mute this one guy

The first time I actually enjoyed Siege. My older brother wanted me to try Rainbow 6 with having played Vegas. I decided to try Siege when it first came out and stopped after a few weeks. I got back into it in year Six. Ironic, I know, but the operators and lore thought small made me keep playing. The only thing that not made me give up on it was Kudos videos cause the thing I love about video games is the lore and story. Now, after a decade, we finally get event connected to the lore, and for the first time playing, I wasn't mad at losing; just having fun. Thank you, Kudos, for making this game something to enjoy😊

Nah, they definitely didn't cook. It repeatedly crashes for console players, loadouts are reset with not enought time to fix it, everyone repeatedly leaves the game and even when the entire enemy team leaves, you have to sit in the game and wait the timer down until the final round of extraction. It's not fun and is not well thought out.

One issue this gamemode has is that in round 2, it is more beneficial to not plant the hacking tool and simply try to eliminate team rainbow. That's because if they manage to defuse you lose the round and team rainbow keeps a whole lot of ops. It's more certain to win on round 3 instead. Of course if you have a good hold you can win right then and there but some rainbow ops like ying can make a retake too easy for rainbow.

I think this is interesting but I wonder if they could find a way to make the Keres troops have more "shaky aim", in future maps? For example, to the Keres or random enemy groups, it would feel like they're playing Tarkov where there's momentum to your movement and your aim isn't consistent/gun has shitty recoil. But to the Rainbow Operators, it should feel like it normally does...smooth and accurate. That way, it's like an FPS version of the Spies vs Mercs mode from the Splinter Cell and makes it so the strategy for both sides are different Then, there's also room for Rainbow Ops vs AI bots too....almost like a Spec Ops challenge from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series

the event is a guaranteed loss if you are team rainbow on round 2. I dont know what they were thinking making it so the round would be 4 minutes long. even if you do survive that long, you still cant count on your teammates to stay alive, and by the time you get to the final round, you have a very small amount of operators to work with. other than that, its still a good event. Lowkey wished there was a different cutscene for each round. If Keres wins 1st round, we would see Maverick and the others getting killed, if Keres wins 2nd round, there's a cutscene of them hacking. I haven't experienced much bugs, none at all actually I played like 10 games already, the event is very nice in theory, the map layout is obviously defender sided but overall an awesome event and for once I got lucky with the packs spent 90 k renown and got both recruits bundles

This needs to be the new ranked mode. Obviously not the whole infinite vs limited lives but just the Bomb/Secure/Hostage mix all in once game. Would be an amazing touch to the game and show and entirely new skill expression while also expanding the Strats for every map. Would be so much fun

My favorite moment playing this game came with my first victory as Rainbow. I picked Fenrir second round and used my Dread Mines really strategically to hold down the fort. Then in the third round, I figured I'd go him again since the second went so well. So I did. There was a Keres legion soldier holding down the right choke point behind the green box. Almost died to peeking him twice. So I threw out an F-Natt, activated it, and then Nomad and I pushed from either side of the box, killing him while he was focused on taking out the Dread Mine. That moment felt so fucking cool. I was smiling ear to ear and how much this event just made me feel like a Rainbow operator in a real situation, using gadgets and tactics different to the main game in such unique ways to play through a real scenario. This is what I used to pretend I was doing in T-hunt, made a real gamemode. This will forever be my favorite event.

​@@Shadorenify in the battlepass theres lore of ehy they attacked at this specific point in time keres was making rainbow split up to divert them away from hereford base so they can attack while they are at their weakest the rounds you survive and getting access to more operators is some of the ops that wasnt at the base as planned by keres rushing back to assist their team

Probably the only gamemode I played more after getting the free mission pack. Tips and Tricks for winning as rainbow: General tip: Remeber that Keres legion has the worst primary gun and no grenades/flashes/C4s, and that trading is the worst thing you can do. Stage 1: Try blocking off LOS from outside the objective and push in ASAP. Once you've cleared and entered the area, its very easy to hold both entry points from the scaffoldings once you get the soft wall open. DO NOT pick monty unless you absolutely have to. Also watch out for spawnpeeks at the start of the round. stage 2: It is impossible for Keres legion to get to the 3rd floor, and hatches are your only way down. Hold vertical holes and try to hold the defuser. If they plant, bring out monty to try to force the defuse. Since you will be using him next round anyways. Stage 3: This is the round where you should be using the best attacking operators, Monty, Doki, Lion, etc. Try not to bring deimos too far ahead, as keres legion can use him as prone cover. OPs with explosives are also good to keep due to the aboslutely stupid amount of barbed wires keres legion can bring. But at the end of the day, Having more operators left is always going to be the biggest game changer.

I dunno, I think the flavor behind this event is amazing and I love it but.....gameplay wise I can't stand it. At lower levels its just normal Rainbow Six Siege but one team has infinite lives and only needs to win once, even if they don't have gadgets. Unless your a very good player playing against mediocre players its basically a coin flip. I really wish the game could have been balanced slightly better.

This needs to be a permanent mode. Its an extremely innovative way to weave story into fps. It reminds me of a moba in the different phases, which I think is genius. They need to start making more of these, I think it’s super unique and good for the game. We have never seen a fps organized like this, and it fits siege perfectly. I cannot stress enough how with a few tweaks this could be permanent and competitive. I think honestly the respawns could work competitively. It would be amazing to play with both attackers and defenders, against each other. Heres my idea : When you and your team are picking ops, you can see what the other team is picking, but after you and them have picked and are locked in with those. Then when playing the game, Each gamemode should be a best of 4, and whoever wins more out of the three modes winss the map. Basically a mini version of what already happens. I think a scoring system could be used, based on the rounds one wins in the best of 4s. If anyone has improvements or ideas please share them, I legitimately think some variation of this event is permanently viable and competitively viable, while maintaining the lore aspect.

Look, not to be a negative nancy, but this just seems like 13 minutes of doing tricks on it. Sure, I get this is cool, lore-wise, but in practice, this event seems incredibly mid to me. On paper, I love the idea of having all three gamemodes in one match. That's what got me excited for this when I heard about it. However, actually playing it, there's so much not good about it that I'm incredibly underwhelmed by it. With the awful matchmaking Siege is notorious for, people keep getting the same sides and playing Keres gets boring, and playing Rainbow gets annoying. Not to mention the awful design of the first play area. There's like 3 lanes of gunfighting and a completely ambiguous "detected outside" zone, as the entire area is fucking outside. The second stage is fine, not surprising as it's the closest to normal gameplay, and the final stage is completely hit or miss as if you're lucky enough to make it there, Keres is either copper, or down 3 players. And the cosmetics? The only decent ones are the Le Roc skin and the universal skin. The memento would be okay if you didn't have to waste money on everything else just to get it. At the end of the day, this is a video game; Cool lore can't carry a game mode for most players. I don't think this much praise is warranted for Ubi with this event. At the very least, we can acknowledge the negatives instead of claiming this to apparently be the best event yet.

They’re probably going to add Phobos to the game as an operator, since in Greek myth, Phobos is Deimos’ brother and it would just make sense

Has anyone else had problems with this event a friend had problems were the animations don’t play and they just get black screen in addition every game I’ve played takes a wile to load sometimes making people leave.

I've played this a few times. EVERY time, I've been on team Rainbow. Every game we've lost, except once when 2 players left Keres in the last round. Honestly, I think the unlimited respawns for Keres was no necessary, it's unrealistic, give them a high number, but not unlimited. I'll play it for the sake of the event and the skins, but I think it needed some fine tuning. It's also got a fair glitches I've found.

every event we have had that’s been popular has been fun, it’s not focused around seriousness. This feels too serious. It’s not overly fun imo, it just feels like the normal game

Best thing you want to do is do nothing in round one, sit and wait for the second round, nothing to loose anyway.
