It does need a real world location- I call on Europe. love the big maps. In fact that's one thing both Wildlands and Breakpoint got spot on in some ways perfect. They're beautiful, different, the walks and drives are exceptional with all the wildlife, livestock and forests, lakes, rivers oh it just goes on. I hope the next map is bigger to be honest and even more dense with built up areas aswel to add to the vibe. I mean if fast travel was made to load quikcer or they even added in planes again to speed up travelling then the maps size isn't a big issue for RPG/MMO style games. Ubisoft actually nail it really well with the design and beautification of thier open worlds. The map from Far Cry 6 for example is beyond huge. Yet it's literally gorgeous. P.S. I also hope the next GR game has much more dynamic weather with longer better thunderstorms, heavier rain, a more vast climate and windstorms like the ones in Division 2. I might be a unpopular opinion here but I do really enjoy the ambient and weather effects in all games I play. I appriciate a good storm in an afk spot at night. 🙂

I will admit, its actually a bit realistic how your character can struggle up a hill and seems to have some trouble climbing, since realistically he's probably got 60 or so pounds of gear weighing him down (letalone the fact that by default your loadout has 2 rifle slots), usually a soldier can struggle to even just walk up a minor incline.

Cutscenes are very important to story progression. Future Soldier implemented this very well. They have weight, pacing, blocking, and direction. The information in them is much more memorable than a static briefing or news footage, although these are valuable delivery methods for specific types of information. Of all the cutscenes in Breakpoint, five have actual blocking. Four of them are mandatory to complete the game, and two of them use unique shots that are never returned to. All the rest consist entirely of one shot and two reverse shots with zero movement whatsoever. This is what makes you stop paying attention to the information in them. Something that I think could work well is MOH Airborne's style of briefings, where instead of the projector screen taking up the entire shot, the characters being briefed are visible in front of it, and they comment on the information being presented. If these flowed naturally in and out of the normal cutscenes, it could make for a very immersive and memorable story presentation that pays homage to the classic structure, but also improves upon it In terms of the survival setting, crafting bandages is very immersive. Breakpoint's medical system is a huge improvement on the "Three strikes and you're out" health pool in classic GR, or God forbid, regenerating health. Crafting perfect M67 frag grenades on the other hand, is a bit goofy. If we're sticking with the camps/outposts maybe you could refill everything there, but in the field something like the recent Far Cry or Tomb Raider games could work with a separate button in the item selection so you can't just pause the game and instantly generate a dozen more, which was another issue I had with it

If I wanted to watch a story, I wouldn't go to a game that's supposed to be a tactical shooter. That stuff doesn't belong in GR, and it never has. The Ghosts are elite soldiers following their orders, not characters in a personal story. That's an enormous waste of time and money, and it skews the direction of the game. Crafting bandages is not immersive. If you want to turn flowers into bandages, go outside. Breakpoint's medical system was awful, and it certainly wasn't better than the original game (or GR2, from what I remember.) That's not to say that there shouldn't be a medical system with manual treatments; there should be. Yes, pausing the game to craft is definitely absurd.
@icarusgaming62692 жыл бұрын
@@Go_Coup This is a really concerning misunderstanding I've been seeing of series history, and it's exactly why I wanted to talk about it. GR has always had plausible stories that served as valuable context for the conflict. Even in the classic games with only briefings, they had situational updates on how the Ghosts' actions affected the political climate or greater conflict, also known as plot points. There were also intro and ending cutscenes. I think the reason many fans misremember this is because they were delivered in unmemorable exposition dumps. Just because the series' writing has historically had poor form doesn't mean it should be sidelined. This is very dangerous misinformation to spread because when a game doesn't perform well, Ubisoft is known to throw the baby out with the bathwater and change literally everything about it. I am not advocating for a greater focus on story, I am only advocating for it to be delivered in a more memorable way, which is why I spent so long talking about cinematography and audience psychology. I can't imagine a situation in which this would compromise its position in the tactical shooter genre since that only describes the gameplay. If you really hate storytelling in GR, there's always the skip button, but always make sure you have your information 100% correct before debating over a franchise in turmoil, because that's the most powerful weapon in determining its future
@Go_Coup2 жыл бұрын
@@icarusgaming6269 , it's a waste of development time and makes future missions less likely. It also inserts more reasons to dislike the game/story/characters. What I'll add also, is more customization for our uniforms, and gear. One of the most basic things you learn in the military is having pride in your uniform. We should have the ability to have multiple different patches, and have the ability to place them where we want (the placement in the game is bad). How about the ability to upload our own patches? On ai from Wildlands my big issue was how after a certain difficulty or tier level the enemies turned into supersoldiers. It was to the point where the only viable guns was the AK 47 in a specific modification or the scar h where you traded mag size for more stopping power. There's no reason for enemies to 180 with dual Mac 10 and be hitting you full auto beyond 50 feet nor for them to take 6 rounds to the chest with the SVD. There's also no reason they should be spotting you through cover or always automatically converging on you when they shouldn't even know where you are or even what direction you have moved when it's not humanly possible. While at it make the weapons have realistic ranges and performance. Bullet drop on most guns is way way way too exaggerated and the range especially point target range is beyond what is shown in game.

There are sometimes where I do side quests and it’s like OMFG SHUT UP! For the most part, gunplay and customization of our soldiers was beautiful, the visuals are beautiful and the wolves are pretty interesting for the most part, being ex ghosts and all and wanting world domination with Walker. Sentinel could’ve been way cooler if they had better design, more variety among voices and gender, and also being more tactical. Sentinel are PMCs, ex military and special forces, these guys are cannon fodder basically in breakpoint. Vehicles were one of my largest pet peeves, the large helicopter should be a UH-60, not some dumb remake. If you are interested, there is an indie game based on the inspiration of the old Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six. It has a sandbox identity, where missions can be customized and spawns change every time. it is possible to organize an assault with different options with a "tactical map", or to do the same for a more stealthy approach. Up to 10 operators can be customized and used, giving each of them a role and a position in the team with specific rules of engagement. It has a bit of a raw look and an indie flavor, (you have to take into account that maybe the team is one person) however it is not bad and it is one of my favorite games at the moment. For 15 € or about it is absolutely worth buying it and supporting this small project. After all, it is the only title that allows you to do certain "tactical things". it's 100% offline and no internet is needed to enter the game (and I'm saying this as if it were now abnormal and special). The title of this little gem is: Black One Blood Brothers I wouldn't mind seeing this indie title being featured on this channel in order to explain that if you want real tactical games you have to go to small, independent teams and not AAA. For example, other small but very important tactical titles are Ground Branch, Ready or Not and Zero Hour for now. (sorry my english, i'm italian)

My Wishlist: - They could implement RPG mechanics by means of having us upgrading and choosing skills and loadouts for our Squads, upgrading they’re skills, not through looter stuffs. - Realistic firefights (Shot in the leg, you or the enemy limp) - Better AI for both Ally and Enemy AI (Make it scale from grunts being aggresive but no tactics through elites being tactical and hard to shoot at) - Make AI squad be assigned to driving and be in position to snipe at a hill and cover you when you infiltrate a base (ala Quiet in MGSV) or using drones and other gadgets, and have they’re own initiative according to the loadout and roles you’ve assigned them to. - Smaller yet more content-full zones, where you can choose where to deploy like MGSV - Make the AI adjust and adapt to your playstyle, like the enemy using more lights and beef up security at night when you always deploy or mostly deploy at night, etc like MGSV again. - Have a 3 other human squad and maybe an additional 4th Dog/Drone/Robot ally that are not OP but just essential for different playstyles (Drone = Scout stealth style, Robot = moving cover for aggre playstyle Got a whole lot of things I wish GR could implement on the next one that are more focused on single-player game being fun. Not just online coop fun.

Great video. Played Wildlands and Breakpoint (still feel new to the series). Loved both games, Wildlands is superior to Breakpoint in my opinion. It feels more realistic, without all the futuristic nonsense. Killer drones etc just spoilt it for me. I would love to see a lot more civilians, with punishments for killing one or too many. I want to see the larger towns with lots of people walking around. A smaller map with smarter AI squad and enemies. Loved the tactical map ideas, and totally agree with the "Maries Shop" section. Maybe an idea is radioing into higher command requesting air support and or artillery, supplies.

I want the next ghost recon to be a period piece. Cold War Eastern Europe/South America would probably work best. The limit of already written history wouldn’t leave a lot of room for Ubisoft to mess it up, but still provides plenty of opportunity for story

1.No custom paint job wrappings- no one is running electric blue tiger stripe or cheetah print. We need more weapon customization options I.e- camo uppers and lowers. 2 . Sights on pistols 3. I don’t care for the survivalists stuff- no gathering plants for stupid concoctions and super soldiers serums. I felt like this and the associated perk tree was useless. 4. Rendering distance increase. No reason why “next gen consoles are limited to 500 meters. A function range Finder would be nice like in bf4. Real function bipod too. 5. More building clearing. 6 . Higher density Of targets in a base 7. More objectives in one mission. The best missing that felt like a real mission is the one where you had to BASE jump down to bridge, sabotage the computer and explosives, then return to the cliff and wait for the convoy to cross and explode.(motherland) 8. Better sounds for the guns

About the bullet sponge enemies (and the controlled character), I agree to a point. When someone is shot center mass once or twice it has to be precise - heart, lungs etc. Otherwise it's just muscle or flesh or ribs (which can hurt like a bitch but won't kill you immediately) A podcast I watch often (Andy Stumpf, Cleared Hot) spoke about this at length with Mike Glover; both have had experiences of shooting an enemy once or twice and them not going down, instead charging at them or shooting back. It got to a point where, in a firefight or quick and violent engagement they wouldn't stop shooting until they're down (which could mean 5-10 bullets). If the game designers could find a balance between the two, (bullet sponge and low health) that would be great. If you can be accurate and take one or two shots to the heart, lungs and head, and the enemy goes down and stays down that's great. But if you miss that shot, then you have to fire a few more times until they are down. I'm not sure how they would do that (and they probably won't for years if at all) then I think that would bring a lot of realism to the game. Bring on people who have actually experienced this shit and learn from them. Some things to add (or remove) -Others have mentioned it but the futuristic drones and shit need to go. -Some actual conflict, grounded in history (past twenty-thirty years) - I would love to see the progression of the GWOT, from the early invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq to Syria and even places like the Philippines (and other parts of Asia) where Special Forces (Green Berets) have advised and fought alongside the military/law enforcement against ISIS and other groups (obviously in a more Ghost Recon way) but there are so many real conflicts and instead they come up with Pandora (I think is the name of the island but honestly can't remember and can't summon the effort to look it up) and its robots and ridiculously armoured enemies. The Wolves are an interesting idea, rogue soldiers who have become disillusioned with the US government (completely understandable) but the way it was portrayed was just janky as hell. -More control over AI teammates has been mentioned but anything worth saying once is worth repeating. -The full automatic shooting from teammates (unless it's from an LMG or support weapon) is ridiculous. Special operations (from what I know from people I listen to and trust on this topic) say it's inaccurate as hell. Complete waste of ammo. When it comes to cartel fighters or untrained enemy combatants, then it's understandable. -The dialogue between characters (squadmates) could definitely use an update, maybe get veterans to do the voice lines or teach the voice actors because it sounds kind of forced and not all that realistic (imo) The humour and levity is great but there is some cringe inducing back and forth that makes me either tune it out or mute dialogue all together. -Weapon and loadout customization - for example Insurgency Sandstorm: ISMC mod with the armour plates or kevlar, or Ground Branch and the number of magazines (visibly shown) on the plate carrier, the control over attachment placement, the number of them etc. And it's a game in alpha/beta. They can do so much better and refuse to. -Calibers doing realistic damage (couldn't think of a better way to put it, I'm exhausted) - a 5.56 isn't going to do the same damage as a 7.62 (as mentioned above, with the podcast, Andy and Mike also mentioned that a 7.62 to the chest is going to put someone down, nobody is getting up from that) But that's the thing, no matter what weapon you're using (barring the sniper rifles) if you shoot someone in the chest with any weapon, no matter the caliber, they are bullet sponges. You made some great points (all of which I agree with) You definitely have a new subscriber. Hopefully they get their shit together and listen to the fans, because they could truly make a phenomenal game.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to share that man, much appreciated and welcome aboard! In terms of the "bullet sponge" bit I mentioned, I realize that taking down targets in 2 or 3 shots may not be THAT realistic, as you suggested sometimes people can survive that, so I guess the time to kill works as it stands in the context of Breakpoint but I just mentioned that bullet spongey part because in the past it was never like that in this series. The time to kill was always low and sure it may not be the most realistic thing but from a moment to moment gameplay perspective I think it makes shooters more fun (not including sci-fi shooters like halo, specific to military shooters/tac shooters) . However as you suggested I am totally down if they introduce a system in the next game where depending on what limb or part of the body you hit, ultimately decides whether or not that target your engaging gets taken down with 1-10 hits. I would love a system where a shot to the heart they are done or 3 shots to the chest they are done. Or 2 shots to the leg the leg, and that leg gets mangled or torn off but they are still alive on the ground in pain struggling. We need more gore and more realistic style hits on targets. I should have probably expanded on that bit here in this video but I was trying to keep the flow and the structure of the vid in motion but these are great discussions we are all having in the comments that continues on from the videos points, so I'm happy people like you are dropping such incredible comments. This is the shit I was hoping for! Funny you mention Insurgency Sandstorm, my next video is on that game ;)

Finally someone else that agrees Breach and Room clearing mechanics for AI teammates! CQB is absolutely one of the most important aspects of Tier 1 operating and games fail to implement it! As you stated Vegas 1 and 2 back in the old days had an amazing breach and clear mechanic so UBI is more than capable of doing it! With that there should be consequences for not properly entering a room. If you just run and gun in you automatically get smacked by the enemy AI! MOH Warfighter also had a great breach and clear mechanic! Ubi has to add this for realism sake!!!

If the DEVS read these along with watching the video, they’d have one hell of a damn tactical shooter and I bet it’ll be the best selling as well. I honestly have been wanting something like we did in Iraq. Which was a house to house, street to street clearing. We also need proper stacking on a door, hallway, or window. Another would be how it’s cleared and which path each player will take to clear it so we aren’t walking into the AI all the time. AI communication needs to be distinct and brief. Example: targets - bad guys, bogie’s, enemy(s), etc. 12 o’clock - any direction that their spotted 50yrds - any distance that’s realistic When sniping or shooting: I don’t want to have them know where I am exactly unless I get spotted. They shouldn’t know exactly where I am if I take someone out and move to a new location. Especially if I’m 500m away with no can on my TAC-50. Also have more caliber types for which ever barrel we choose that way when we customize our rifles it feels more personal to us. I’d like to have a 300 aac on an AR-15 or AR-10 platform. Not just and AK round honey badger. The clothing such as ghillie suits need to be better that that puff ball or soggy spinach they give us. It needs to be for the environment. I want to lay in tall grass or an open field or sit in a tree and say “damn that’s some good stuff, it actually matches the environment I’m in” Everything else needed is literally in the other comments.

One thing I think people need to realize (despite how bad breakpoint was as a whole) is that alot of the interactions in Breakpoint were due to the circumstances in the story, and it makes sense. You're talking to civilians who are scared and unorganized.
@coriolass2 жыл бұрын
I agree fully with almost everything, tacmaps, weapons customization, briefings and an end to cartoonish mechanics especially. I'd add improving gear and operator customization. If there has to be gear purchasing maybe do it within the bounds of a military organization sort of interface like a unit quartermaster, and instead of monetary currency add replace with something like prestige points earned through successful missions, kills etc. On that note maybe a progressive military rank system instead of a numbered level system would make sense as well. I agree about more limited and simplified NPC interactions outside of the team, one or two NPC's that you deal with a lot might work better than the many you deal with in Breakpoint once or twice then never reference again. I do think some cutscenes and more open ended conversation type interactions are okay to provide lore dumps, or added context on some story elements, but it shouldn't be necessary to progress or enjoy the game. Above all else, no more mandatory online to play, that's incredibly irritating and seemingly completely unnecessary.

- realistic story -gives the main ghost team character through flashback or random conversations -give main villian character and have them be as good as the 2 others - good graphics that are improvements on everything - gameplay mechanics from breakpoint need to be in the next game - enemy ai needs to be smart - large map doesn’t need to be wildlands huge, can be a lot smaller but still big -different factions like a rebel group, government group and terrorist group sorta like wildlands -give different enemy types like breakpoint -add customization like both games but improvements from both as well - add military vehicles - map should feel alive with like wildlife and people everywhere & things happening like even random crimes -give ai some cycles like in bases give enemy ai sleep cycles and prattling cycles - whatever government military faction is in the game should try hunting you so give them nvgs in the night, have solders on foot and helicopter looking for you -add drones like the azrael that’ll try to kill you like drop a bomb on you -add ammo boxes like wildlands - have enemy ai throw things like grenades and flash bangs -don’t have a messy menu, boss screen, mission menu, skill point menu like breakpoint did have it simple like wildlands - whatever rebel group exists give them some small military bases around the map - a new weapon or skill they should add is having an American drone fly over and u can control it to shoot enemies - kinda controversial but adding enemy attack dogs - knives like breakpoint - injury system from breakpoint - ghillie suits actually work - camouflage system from breakpoint - good voice actors -good facial animations -more pistol customization -better weapon sounds -first person pov in some missions -foot print in snow - no class weapons or moves - realistic movements -nighttime should be really dark in certain locations

• Why is EVERYTHING USING A MINIGUN UBISOFT? Where TF are mounted HMGs, 7.62 GPMGs and maybe mounted LMGs? It's kinda stupid majority of the vehicles and fixed weapons are all just using miniguns. Some variety would be GREAT. ATGMs, Recoilless rifles too please. • Weight - Player movement is affected by the weight of gear, weapons, equipment they use - Careful planning of what items to bring and mission specific lodouts are fun. There's an element of guess work. (EFT, insurgency ss, arma 3, WW3 are good examples despite being FPS games) - Doesn't have to be ultra-hardcore so casual players can still enjoy. Just a good level of this could be fun. • Effective gear and equipment. - type of armor matters against certain calibers - camouflage in environments matters against AI detection (similar to MGS games) - civilian clothes are super effective in blending in populous urban areas. Makes you use hidden holsters, inconspicous pouches, gives importance to low caliber and other small concealable weapons, hiding visible military gear in favor of under clothing vests, etc. • ACCURATE & PROPER handling and operating of weapons. From small arms to vehicle weapons. • ATGM and MANPADS: can we have some proper anti tank, rocket launcher and anti-air launchers? Yeah there's a R. Launcher already but it could be better implemented as secondary weapon with realistic carry capacity so players will conserve ammo and use it at the right target • Maybe take some notes from a little game called Mercenaries back in PS2. They had innovative ways of making an open world military shooter albeit not a tactical/mil-sim game, there's alot of good stuff there still. Like deck of 52, satisfying vehicle gameplay with FINITE AMMO supply and a VARIETY of weapon systems, BASED on realistic vehicles despite some visual differences, awesome air support and logistics - these support are finite in inventory and is acquired from factions maybe a similar system can be applied but instead of factions, a ghost recon intel and logistics team is behind the field operators providing the support. That would be awesome and more fitting instead of... MARIA'S SHOP LOL • Consistent tone, gritty and grounded theme of a Ghost Recon game. A serious, tactical, military themed game yet they keep putting cartoony cosmetics or similar things and sci-fi shit. • Maybe more realistic missions like destroying an enemy SAM site S-400 and a radar site deployed in a rural area, destroy enemy equipment or disable vehicles with a 50-cal AMR from a distance just as they were made for, disable an anti-ship missile battery so ghost recon reinforcements can come from the sea, call in airstrike on a key target, report enemy position and movements so an allied faction can conduct their mission successfully somewhere, sabotage infrastructure - bridges, power, gas, etc. so enemy will be at a disadvantage, provide sniper support for allied faction etc. You know, actual missions fit for a SF group such as the ghosts. And not some dumb RPG quest with dumb dialogues and objectives. • Better vehicles - Based on features and mechanics to real life vehicles - Smoke counter-measures - FLARES! For fuxxx sake - finite ammo and resupply not some vehicle rambo would love to use with infinite ammo - proper FLIR and night optics - proper vehicle armor: use of AT or high caliber munitions to destroy certain armored vehicles - USE OF STORAGE SPACES. Maybe players can store items in vehicles just like in arma and then bring them in for missions and skirmishes. Depending on how much space is available, you can put more or less in it. A quad bike won't fit much items compared to an MRAP with storage or SUV. - Maybe even have players leave vehicles in designated spots or where we please to serve as extraction and a rally point. - DRONES and UNMANNED VEHICLES - Can we please have some realistic looking drones and UGVs? Like the ones showcased by real companies for military use and not some sci-fi looking crap with dumb weapons and exposed sensitive parts just like in the game. Shit, Arma 3 had better unmanned vehicles that looks and functions much more plausible in a combat scenario.

I'm in complete agreement with all these suggestions. One more thing I'd add is the use of real locations and realistic opponents. No more being sent to Bullshit Island to take on the Dollar General Sith Lords and their Mechs of Doom. No deployments to Fakistan. I know Ubisoft supposedly wants to avoid ruffling feathers, but if they have to ruffle feathers to make a great game, that's what the need to do. Also, I'm not sure how unpopular an opinion this is, but I'd either never have a raid or raid exclusive gear in a Ghost Recon game ever again or...if they just HAVE to have a raid....make it reasonably doable by your squad and/or scale to how many players are in the group. No more bullet sponge bosses and stupid boss mechanics from MMORPGs.

Awesome Video @Ghost Island Thunder I agree all of it. I also think that they should re-introduce some older features from the Future Soldier like receiving and reacting to suppressing fire. Also and some more effective sound effects: like hearing the crack and thump of incoming fire. Having enemy and friendly AI with better tactics. -Having basic flanking and fire and manoeuvre -Having a basic order function, Not as complex as Operation Flash Point, but Similar and more rigid. for example creating fixed stack points on Buildings and selecting individual team mates to order to move. -Also add some actual doorways that we can open (as well as breach) and walls that we can breach. not this sliding door rubbish. -having realistic engaging and spotting distances, enemies can spot you from further away if you are not in cover and if they are a sniper for example. (this is can be put in the difficulty settings) - you weapon systems suppressed can be detected if you do not use subsonic rounds and have realistic detection distances. ( also can be edited in the difficulty settings) -having more realistic bullet drop distances. -Better sight picture and recitals. -Also I liked the idea of drones not the hard to hit flying shooting drones, but more the over head observation drones. ( maybe adding and airstrike feature against you) -have at least one actual recon mission where you have to recon mission....just one, please for the love of the name of the game. A mission where your team has to be sneaky deaky and recon a base for a mission. Or just have it as a feature to add more detail to your tac map. Like enemy movements around the base and possible weak points and just add more features to the map like maybe road bloke locations. -enemy has night vision (difficulty settings) Also this video by @OperatorDrewski has some great ideas the support this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWHKZmOGq5WLbtE

I feel that, i came from the OG pc Ghost recon, i like breakpoint isnt a bad game but it like they mist that old tactic liberties that i belive they can implement in this new mecanic in Wildlands and Breakpoint. Im Aware that breakpoint first develop as a lone wolf survivalist tactics game and then they implement AI team with a limit funtionality, i play breakpoint a lot not want to talk bad about it, but for a next installment of the game they should implement all new using the tactical liberty of the first 3 GR, Desert Siege and Island Thunder, so Ghost can be deployed from NAVY task Groups Carriers or Subs maybe from a Safe House like wildlands too. If i ask how i want it to be: 1. Open world is good with a proper tacMap climate changes depending the Region of the world representing. Not all biomes in a sole world. Tropical map, Artic map, Desert map etc. 2. Real o prototype technology for Ghost use represented, example US Real Vehicles or modifies Spec Ops ones like MV-22B or CV-22B Osprey V280 Valor replacing Blackhawks or the Hypotetical Stealth-Hawk use in Bin laden Raid, MQ-9 Reapers or Global Hawks UAV and UCAV. MULE, thats the Tom Clancy Vision to represent the new tecnology aplied to spec ops, SDV subs of course the CrossCom. 3. UBËR… insertcion and extractions option aplicable for battle planning and execution. Yes Ghost cant operate vehicles too but most of the cases a SOAR or NAVY Helo insertion and or extraction with diferent option depending the mission planing and asset at hand or the game narrative. Like a SWCC boats or a MC-130J HALO, HAHO Jump, implemented in the Open World depending mission parameters/planing. 4. A desent armory for craft and or Custom weapons. Initially for Ghost use standart US equipment with Special ops Customization options, enemies weapons can be colected in the AO and save it on the armory for custom mods and use by the Ghost as they find fit for all clases of operators in the unit. Include Drones and misc equipment like IFAKs explosives battery packs EMP Smokes etc. 5. Team management: have at leas from 10 to 8 slots for custom create you new GHOST team and/or Chose from a pool from already existing Ghost and Specialist from lore. Customs platecarriers camo and backpacks with mission gear with a Weight and Balance option affecting mobility stamia and performance. Each ghost have a level point sistems tru all game to raise and be more efective like breakpoint ai. Player can divide his operator in teams of 2, 3, etc in mission time or in mission planing asign each by colors and numbers. Players can create his own Ghost teams like breakpoint face hair skin color scars height body type, gender and create background story for each. 6. Wound system for everyone, bleedouts, limping on leg wounds or disability in a arm wound, centermass shots or explotion damage 2 shot wound 3 shot kills, headShot is a kill. Wounded carried system and combat medic system during mission. Members KIA are eliminate from pool and replace with another from the existing Ghost/specialist pool unless mission are replayed. Allow friendly fire damage. 7. A mission planing table for create insertion extraction routes and metods. Hour of operation (day/night) weather information, tools for planing or execute the missions types (Reacon, Rescues, Sabotage, (Capture or Kill) etc. basically one of the more importante cause is ghost RECON so we must do Recon.

I would add the ability to give individual squad members role and navigation commands. More freedom with character customization like a separate slot for masks and scarves respectively. The abilty to utilize your vest and belt with individual equipment. The addition of a usable watch that shows both real time and game time that can also be used to change game time like in the bivouac. Player weapon handling should be more defined. How the player holds their weapon vs how AI hold their guns, why do they get the right training but we don't? How a players primary weapon is holster on their back, they even have the animation in the game which confuses me even more. Why do the AI teammates need a sync shot weapon separate from the gun you give them and why can't we choose what it is and how its set up. Why also can 't we set up and AI teammate to only use semi-auto with a highly accurate double tap to the chest and one to the head combo. A main base of operations only accessible by ghosts. Not erewhon I mean Ghost specific. I would also like to see the option to play both first person and third person depending on your preferred perspective. With all the request you are likely to get let a man design this game one that understands the unforgiving nature of war rather than some girl who thinks this is some kind of Art project. Depth and functionality rather than shallow imagery and empty landscape. Everything this game has done since its release has been half assed but it has finally progressed to a state acceptable first draft. Its fun to play and engaging but it always leaves me feeling disappointed seeing the list of wasted opportunities and lazy craftsmanship and an obvious ignorance of the previous iterations. I am nobody and I could have had that game prime from the start and the perfect foundation to build a legacy title on. No women with creative licence in the studion when building milsim's they're fantasy oriented and this genre must be grounded in realism. There is a reason we don't encourage women on the battlefield. They're not emotionally designed to deal with it where men funtion on instinct women respond in fear. This is important to the player base stick to the architype.

Also, personally i like the conversation in Breakpoint though, i wish the speak options were only limited to questions. As when i was confused about something it let's me gather the knowledge from the game instead of heading into the wiki.

A man of my heart ! Been playing since 2001 and I miss that gameplay too, the real feel of GR. I was part of the GRW Workshop in Paris and we told them what was needed and gave them feedback after release cause we had a discord with the studio. Things aren't simple, if you put aside the fact that they had they own vision of the game "GRW" they didn't include fans while developping Breakpoint like they did for Wildlands, they invited some people when it was almost done. The devs aren't to blame but the poeple above them and marketting team that decided to go that way to change gameplay to be like Division rpg style etc... I even send a letter to Yves Guillemot which we met in Paris with Wildlands to explain him before Breakpoint release that it was a mistake and they needed to change cap because they were going to the wall with this game but never had a response. Hope if they does a new game they really take our feedback more seriously because even if I love Ubisoft, when they say we the fans are they priority and they listen to us is interprated as a joke because show where we asked for all those crap ?

Open world but like you said - Get a plan of what you have to do - Load up what you think you need - get in a helicopter, get dropped off near your target at a place you suggest, do the mission and get picked up in a location after mission- fight for a position on the map when you win it that can be your next base for launching your next missions. get back to the orginal format with tactics -

I think my friends and family play Wildlands because of the chaos that happens when you mix, your team with rebels, cartel, military, civilians in various zones. It's awesome. I think my favorite game was rainbow 6 las vegas. No excessive dramatic music, just a firefight in a parking lot with flashbangs and alarms going off. We used to pop smoke alllllll the time.

I strongly disagree and agree on your first point regarding dialogues: I like playing the Ghosts in similarity to US Army SF (as you seem to see them too: 08:08) which exists to dialogue with local partners in conflict zones and to get them fighting well along the US side. So having a broader dialogue system would be nice and work well with an open world where you - just like the Green Berets - have to build up a force. I strongly agree that this can't work if you have a bunch of Mark Zuckerberg style reptile uncanny valley puppets whose performance all just kill the immersion. I liked a bunch of cut scenes in Wildlands but most of Breakpoint NPC interactions are just obnoxious if one is not a reptile himself. Regarding your thoughs about the "tac map" - count me in on your approach. Having the map just as a wallpaper and rough loot guide is lazy copy/paste from their other 08/15 open world RPGs. Regarding weapons and attachements. You got me in on this one too. No more "silencer reduces damage" bullfuckingcrapshit. Regarding fighting distances and AI behavior: I think that one comes down to the open world decision. If you want to press as much content as possible into the open world you drastically have to decrease all distances which - in a straight way - is calculated down to detection range, fighting range and bullet drop. If you want a bit more realistic AI behavior, engagement distance and bullet drop you'll need to have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more space in between the hotspots on your world map. Right now in this mega tight maps lengthy fights have to alert basically the whole region. For immersion sake they have to cut it short I think. Now I'm only left to say that I strongly approve your choice of soundtracks for the video.

Thanks bro for taking the time to share! So to expand a bit on the no more talking to people point I brought up. I'm completely down for talking with locals in a mission to get intel and whatnot just not how it was done in Breakpoint. Needs a refresh of the system. That's why I said I shouldn't be talking to anyone outside of my team and anyone who isn't providing me intel.

@@GhostIslandThunder I think we are not very far apart. I would'nt mind talking to NPCs for role play like trying to win heartsx and minds, negociating with local leaders and maybe bribing them - just all the good and dirty day to day politics stuff the leading Green Berets have to do. That would be a new approach I'd like to see. But definately the dumb nonsense smalltalk of Breakpoint.

You nailed it!!! Ubisoft won't ever use firearms experts to get the content correct like "Escape From Torkov" did because they are soo afraid of getting sued or the legal liability associated with working with firearms companies or firearms experts in general... 8:49 (Ever wonder why all the suppressed firearms sound the same no matter what caliber it is???) They (Ubisoft) don't consult with experts or understand how firearms really work in real life.

Great video honestly I think they should add more geared up plate carriers or be able to customize plate carriers there should be an option to have a just a nvg mount on your helmet better backpacks or more compact one like the hills backpack one of thing that annoys me personally is when you aim in with nvgs on it cuts through your scope they should find out away to make so that doesn’t happen another thing is to be able to place different patches personally not just the default position and that’s some things I would want to see. AI teammates can be stupid sometimes and as a team you should be able to call in backup and not a bunch of people in a mustang with a minigun on top you should get more ghosts that come in and support you in humvees or black hawks or little birds ghillie suits could be a lot better Having sticks and other camo in it and not be so bushy there shouldn’t be ghillie on the chest and belly and front of the legs it should all be on the back also suppressor shouldn’t make you competley undetected because you can still be heard with a suppressor also there should be a friendly military base not just some random cave it should have helicopters and jets that you can’t fly but ai pilots that can provide air support or back up there should be an armory Barack’s hangars and things like that good video👍

I really would love to get an updated version of the earlier games where you play Scott Mitchell. I loved Ghost Recon Island Thunder and Ghost Recon 2 and Ghost Recon 2 - Summit Strike. I really hope the new game is changing its direction back to the roots of the first games.

Your points were all valid. I only played the single player mode when I had to in order to get some weapon or attachment, or to complete some stupid goal. The fact is, that even with all of the issues you brought up, the number one issue is that the game is not at all stable. This may not be as prevalent in single player, but it makes PvP almost unplayable at times. Ubisoft won't get another dime from me. And this is coming from a guy that used to stream for many hours everyday (Wildlands).
@kingconan4crom2 жыл бұрын
First off, your video was solid and straight to the point. It hit everything on the mark that I don't want and do want. Thanks for holding Ubisoft accountable. @Ubisoft: One of the things I would pitch if I was a director for a Ghost Recon game is Deployment Zones. Instead of having an open world that has a jungle, icy mountain, jungle and somewhat urban areas make deployment zones around the world. That is how it would work in real life am I right? When you enter each deployment zone it still has the feeling of a open world map. Give us environmental threats; like leeches in a swampy or deep jungle deployment zone. Sandstorms, and dehydration obviously in a desert deployment zone. Freezing cold in snow deployment zone. Civilians possibly being armed in urban areas. We also need a base to come back to like in MGS5 Phantom Pain. It gives us feeling of mission complete and rest. In reality it's very difficult and even unhealthy the longer you stay in the field. You have to consider walking in boots in harsh or difficult terrain has a wear and tear on your boots and feet. Not being able to wash, not having a proper meal,etc all these things take a toll on the body and mind. Ubisoft you had the right idea with breakpoint being the theme. Adding a few survival mechanics was definitely a direction you should take further. MGS3 Snake Eater has something where if you go without food and water for a period of time your performance drops everywhere. Don't make us carry one or two weapons on our backpack, I don't know where y'all got that idea from. Every weapon should have a sling that you put over your head and shoulder. Also please give us the option to drag and hide rather than go through the long animation to pick up and put over our shoulders. Both options should have their place. Make it to where each backpack that we EARN (not buy) has a weight capacity. That will add to the strategy of pre deployments. If the night vision goggles are not mounted on my hat or helmet I should not be able to switch night vision on. Don't make our ghost declare every time he or she is switching to night vision, it's annoying. Keep the option to go from third to first person. Let us keep the option to customize our ghost as well as our squad. You added scuba gear that has no utility at all. Give us deployment zones out at sea as well, that will give the scuba gear more utility. Give us a pilot assigned to us so we don't have to ditch equipment if we want to halo jump into a area. Make it to were we have to hold a perimeter until the chopper comes. Make it to where we can call for air strikes. Make the air strikes upgradable. A complete game with full immersion squad based tactical shooter. That's what we know, that's what we want, not a RPG. NOTICE, I said a COMPLETE GAME first. You cannot create a immersive experience if your game has too many bugs. That is all.

Honestly if they went with a more linerar game it wouldn't be a bad thing. They could just make a smaller open world and just fill it to the brim with things to do, along with expand the good things they've created. Convoys: Have armored vehicles like APCs or Tanks be apart of them. Asset denial missions, sabatoge, radar destruction (anti material rifles actually having a purpose), assassination, patrol, search and destroy missions. Drones: Smaller armed drones along with Troops is a likely real scenario, so keep that. Along with UAV flights. Helicopter Patrols: Expand them, maybe have two Helicopter flights, have more attack Helicopters take part. Enemies: Have them similar to Fallen Ghost/Conquest mode ON LAUNCH vs having to wait for DLCs to have better enemy types. Those should be expanded upon vs actually being added at a later time. Classes: More defined roles. Add Javelins, Stingers as class based gadgets for example vs using .50 call and GLs for Anti air. Every class shouldn't have access to these things. A weight mechanic. I shouldn't be able to have an AR, 100 round mag and GL AND a .50cal sniper rifle AND a Rocket Launcher. Double down on the realism. This is just stuff off the top of my head, is this difficult to do?

Template for the best Ghost Recon game is right here: - Realism/authenticity the main focus (characters act like real soldiers, they talk like real soldiers, they brief like real soldiers, the plot reflects something very grounded like a rebel coup instead of some complicated plot Ala Breakpoint, that means the goals reflect that as well resulting in simpler real military styled objectives) - Focus on the power fantasy of being an SF member (an extensive outfit system which impacts gameplay -size of body armor, gas masks, Night vision only when you have goggles on, camo having an impact on how visible you are in the environment, and most importantly a *weight based system* that will give the game so much depth, will you equip yourself with a rocket launcher when you expect an enemy armor presence or take more flashbangs and wire-cutting scissors for CQB? The size of the backpack affects this, and the weight itself affects how fast the player is and their stamina - Living world with real background 1. By real I do not mean expensive civilian routines, but mechanics and systems that add to the military power fantasy. For example, have the map be divided into zones, the influence of which will depend on the hold of the forces in the region. If you liberate and are really active in the south, some of the enemy forces may capture some of the north bases again and they will have more frequent presence there, just like it is in a real war. The trope of a country overrun or taken over by a hostile force I think is honestly still perfect for a Ghost Recon game, but just the choice has to fit. My dream choice is Afghanistan, with US forces out now, and Taliban taking over, you have a perfect setup where the enemy force controls everything, and you send in the SF forces to intrude on their efforts and harass their resources. Maybe they're staging another international terrorist attack? 2. Although many people are asking for a "smaller but denser world," I ask the opposite, a large world, but extensive enemy systems. Breakpoint was on the right path, nowhere is safe, enemies patrol even the furthest of outskirts, and this needs to be ramped up in the sequel, with bases, trenches, sniper nests, all appearing across the hills and towns that they hold or have some presence in, depending on their hold of the region. It adds so much to the feeling of being an SF member when I just walk through the hills, and mountain sides, taking in the views and watching my steps and horizons for the enemies. There's nothing quite like it is in Breakpoint on the AAA market, please hone in on this. 3. Looong range engagements. I get it, I'm studying game design as of now myself at university, it is quite a nightmare to solve, for most it is frustrating, but there needs to at least be an option, where enemies take notice of you like real humans would, 300 meters away, if you're walking on the top of the ridge, silhouette visible against the clear sky. That adds to the fact that firefights should be longer as well. An encounter like I just described doesn't have to end in 10 seconds resulting in one of you being a better shot, weapons are more inaccurate at that range, he might call for backup or you might call in air support (which should be a real AI helping you like in MGS5). Stalemates are a thing, the same as tactical retreats are a thing. - Simulation-focused systems (Ghost Recon is supposed to be a military power fantasy, not a game like Arma, but there are some systems that I think add an incredible depth and intrinsically meaningful experience when implemented, with Breakpoint going in the right direction. 1. Simulation of traversing (fully implemented kinematic movement responding to the environment with complex animations - Breakpoint did this exceptionally well and I wouldn't hold back to say that it may quite literally be the main reason why I adore the game so much, it adds an exceptional potential for role-play and feeling like a real soldier, whose big part of his job is scaling and conquering nature, together with the survival mechanics, which wouldn't have to be as stereotypical as in Breakpoint - just make the injury system return, with body armor now actually playing a role in absorbing enemy hits, and make stamina return, impacted by your weight and the path you choose to take through the environment) (Maybe eat, sleep, and drink for a hardcore mode? 2-3 day missions/patrols are a real thing in the SF units). 2. Rudimentary logistic simulations (supply lines declared by the intel team and being possible to sever for a better hold of the region, *any* equipment destroyed has an impact on the enemy supplies which results in their battle readiness - *ensures longevity of the game in the endgame as well, possibly a currency system, you clear a base, you could leave, but use a C4 for the armored truck that is there, bam, the enemies in the region just lost an armored truck, an advantage for you* - this is a huge part of real warfare and I feel it definitely should be a part of a franchise like Ghost recon is. 3. Gunplay simulations (Here I am talking mostly about just one thing... *suppressor noise* ... There needs to be an *option* for the suppressors to be just as loud as in real life. The truth is, you shoot your carbine or AR in an enemy compound, and most of the enemies know what's up, but to locate you, to hone in their fire despite your signature mitigation, that's the thing giving you an advantage. These are my dreams. Breakpoint, after the admittedly disastrous launch, has become one of my favorite games ever after the immersion patch. I hope, and I cannot emphasize how much I hope, that you take all the lessons of what you have made post launch, and just expand it and refine it. Please give it an enough time in the oven, and please, please... give us an excellent Ghost Recon game. Love you all!

I played the first ever ghost recon game on an old PC. Loved it. I never played any of the ghost recon games after that, until now that is, where I have decided to try out Ghost Recon Wildlands. So far I love it, it has a lot that I think could be done better, but in comparison to other games I am really impressed. Hope that they keep going down a similar route of open world tactical/stealth shooter. I'm a big fan of Arma 3 and love the control you have as the player in planning and executing missions. I wouldn't mind seeing maps in a ghost recon game as we see in Arma where you can annotate and plan ops on the map which your squadmates can see (for coop). Another thing is the topography needs to be well presented on the map. One of the most important things for me when approaching an enemy base is to know where the high points are that overlook the enemy, that way I can observe and plan before I engage. As far as I know, I couldn't see any clear topographical cues that allow me to easily see the elevation of different points on the map. Again I would refer to Arma maps where you can see the elevation/height numbers in metres above sea level. EDIT- just got to you explaining the tacmap issue, glad others see the same issue

Here's my list. Longer distance for NPCs to render in for 2,000+ plus meters. Do not make part of the map pvp only. Ghillie suits actually work Get rid of weapon bloom Minimize helicopter retical sway No perks for the love of God No class technique Short time to kill for miniguns NPCs shorter time to kill other NPCs NPCs civilians stop acting like little bitches Add dismemberment replication of real round ballistics. (50. Cal makes you pop like a water balloon.) Be able to make certain sized charges for sniper positions, breaching, sabotage. No robots that take years to kill. No Azrael drone NPCs don't come to your exact location if you haven't been spotted Better nvgs thermals and flir image. Correct bullet drop If NPCs have a helmet on. Face should not be bullet proof. Example the heavies face NPCs don't scream when shot in head unless it's bad placement shot. Pistol rounds only rifle rounds you don't stand a chance. Accurate distance chart in optics. Throat cuts just gurgle and sound like air escaping no voice since you cut below the voice box to stop sound in the first place. If the enemy has the same weapon they don't get a secret buff and I a secret nerf Thinner optic lines for scopes. Be able to dope the scope Select type of ammo (AP, FMJ, APIT) Only the 5th round be tracer round of our color choice (red,green,blue) Altitude effects bullets Proper ground foot prints even in snow. (It leaves no trails or prints in my game can't speak on others behalf) Concrete chips away while being shot. Bullet Spalding when going through metal or concrete making debris lethal.(APIT,AP rounds only) Proper deaths. (Headshots fall strait to the ground) Nvgs let us select normal or phosphorus (green tint or bluish tint.) Allow us option for first pov or third pov Make guns feel different and not the same. NPCs see you in at like longer distance. Even while they drive Plate carriers actually do something. Area conquer (take over a region but will be taken back if you can't help the rebels in a certain event if bases are being raided. Not all at once tho. 3 key locations for region secure.) Each region has a benefit weather it be better resources, Intel or something. Not the same side missions every day. Rather weekly missions that actually take time to do. Cities are cities and not just a big circle with some building here and there. Correct camoflauge actually works Sam sites can be hacked to shoot down enemy aircraft. Don't release a broken game and charge us full price again Give us actual updates on what's being worked on and actually do it in a timely fashion not take 2 years to fix one minor issue.

I’m all about the fully customizable weapon system like you said. I’m totally fine with half the weapons Breakpoint has if that’s doable. I’m realism settings, I rarely ever switch between weapons anyway cause there’s not a lot of point. I LOVE all the customizable gear in Breakpoint but I also want that gear to matter. Each piece should have statistics: Mobility, Armor, Stealth. Even better if Stealth attribute reacted to the environment you were in to give me reason to switch uniforms I’ve made based on where I’m operating. Wearing a ball cap and a tshirt might make you super mobile (quicker ADS, More Stamina, Faster Movement speed both regularly and aiming down sight) but if you got shot once or twice, your dead. Whereas Ghillie suits based on environment have the max amount of stealth to where if you don’t move or shoot, enemies can practically walk right by you and not see you (like essentially prone camo in Breakpoint). Also adding something like NVG means that without them, I don’t have Nightvision but they subtract slightly from mobility and have negative effects to my character like slower ADS. All of this would give a much more immersive feel. Also I like the big map, but make it maybe a quarter smaller and more things to do like Wildlands/Motherland but with like 8 more objective types.

For me, it's customisation, whether that be weapons customisation or character customisation. I can't remember what video I put a comment in, but I mentioned even allowing us to change our characters voice and callsign, make our own true character, don't get me wrong, like Nomad in Wildlands and Breakpoint, but I want to play as my own character who's completely different from any else's, perhaps even like an in-depth character creation like in RPG games, but that's probably the other I'll accept from those games. I would also love to have maybe an 8 man squad or at least have the option to have as many up to 8 rather than just four members, that way they could even implement a game mechanic where if your teammate is either killed or captured, you either have to replace that teammate or look for further Intel to locate that missing teammate. Make it kind of feel like MGS 5, now I'm not a huge fan of that game but I did like the stealth and detail that went into that game, for example, the AI would react to your actions. The worse thing is, is that I'm writing this down incase UBISOFT ever look at it, but I feel that even if they do happen to look at it, they won't even acknowledge the things I've said, I mean look at GR: Frontline..... who asked for that?

I agree the NPC interaction can be kind of tedious and even cringey at times. Re: Weapons and Maria's shop etc. - this is tricky with both the concept of being dropped behind enemy lines and with it being a video game needing to have some kind of progression and unlocking. As an elite special forces unit of course you would expect them to go in from the start with the exact weapons they want, but for me half the fun is unlocking the weapons and attachments.

I agree and disagree with some points, I want the map to be smaller and more compact and more vertical in areas ( citys and towns, none of this one building is higher then the rest) however I do enjoy the freedom of the open world however i want more urban, fearing a shotgun through an alley I want more responsive ai that arent stupid, bring back the deadliness of the older games, have them call for backup straight away, no only one has a radio, making a simple mistake drag out a gunfight from a few seconds to "oh god its been 5 minutes and im low on ammo we need to get out of here" Agree with the pointless rpg conversations and dumb dialogue, Cutscenes yes due to being able to tell major plot and being able to hopefully make it impactful, Have the missions start off in one location like a HQ, get that amazing briefing style back and honestly get ride of the being able to change weapons on the fly, you pick your load and your squads before you step, making paying attention in what you'll face more important, Tank bullet sponges yes, get them away from the game, That dumb helmet thing, a small helmet isnt going to stop a 7.62 Crafting is a tricky point, like i enjoyed the crafting however it was way to over the top, major reduce it to medical supplies like bandages which is made from ripped clothe, wont fully heal you but give you a temp health back which will slowly fade I.e your bleeding slowly so its not effective for long. no crafting mid fight either. and agreed no constant online, we dont need a player hub, they really provide nothing to the game, have it only necessary to get online to squad up with other players thats its, all that can be done in the HQ before a mission brief for example. These still heaps that they can do to make these games increadable they just need to listen to the players

As for everything else you mentioned. Yes, however. Not only should we have a full gunsmith, but how about a semi realistic ballistics system. Ranging, zeroing, crosswinds. And for the love of all that is holy, Let us have realistic aircraft physics, and a cockpit view. Ammo types, like Subsonic, Supersonic, AP, Incendiary, tracer, ball, match grade etc.. Realistic equipment, weapons, tactics, vehicles, vests, ammunition pouches, Loadouts... man I could go on. I really could

@@GhostIslandThunder I didn't expect to get a response. I'm honored good sir. I'm thrilled you agree! I could write a several page essay/letter on things they should do and the benefits of them.

@@GhostIslandThunder I bought wildlands yesterday and the physics of cars and the missions are a lot better than breakpoint even with operation motherland If they took the mechanics and clothing from wildlands and fixed things it would go better I think a cool location would be Afghanistan

So yeah, about the tac map, you could use a zoom that shows you entire regions of the map and you just threw this out of the way to make a point plus I could identify terrain by the tac map in ge bp and wl also the rail thing hasn't been done by any other game minus a mobile game I forgot its name

It’d be cool if you could deploy your drone above an area, take a snap shot and use that as your tac map, being able to direct your team from there and everything.

This is a great idea actually... I say that because it's fitting due to the open worlds these games tend to have now. Would add a layer to the tactical approach of missions/exploration
