Something you don’t hear much in the newer AC games is compositions like this, where you’ll just be exploring an area, not really doing anything and music like this will come on. Miss that aesthetic of these games. Music is so valuable to the experience and immersion factor.

So true. I discovered this masterpiece this year and I was overwhelmed how perfect a game can catch emotions and feelings, just by exploring areas - exactly like you said. sometimes i just walked through the landscapes of Montereggioni and listened to the music. Just breathing the time Ezio lived in...

Ahh exploring the beautiful city of firenze and Venezia was way more fun than to explore desert and for that you have to pay or grind well. By the graphics and presentation of today's games those cities will looks only more good way better than Greece in Odyssey.

This song sounds like it's partially about exploration and partially about Ezio's perspective. Being at home in Florence. Him when he is alone. Solitary with his exploration. He's searching. Climbing. Exploring. Looking for those side quests and looking for those feathers. :-)

Indeed my brother, what once was is not so nowadays with ubisoft being one of those to just milk something successful for all its worth. It's sad when you hear this piece of music because when did those later games do the same for you that which this one does? Where is that spark of something truly special at in this overused and homogenized formula? Nowhere brothers and sisters :/ and that's such a shame

Absolutely true ! And starting from 2:07 the music trying to tell that all that carefree of teenagerhood will come to an end soon and you will bear a huge responsibility, but you just don't know it yet ... Most ironic of all I myself was a teenager at the time when the game was released with the happiest life ever and now a father and a man of family with tons of responsibility... 18 years at the time now 34 ...

2:53 Remember coming home from school, on a rainy day, making a hot cup of tea or cocoa and playing this. The music takes me back to those simple days. It gives me a sense of nostalgia, comfort, inner-peace even. But also sadness. Sadness that these days are in the past. These games hold a special place in my heart. Especially the early ones. Bruh the last 2/3 of this song rnt that at all. Look at the whole picture. Hear the intense sorrow set in, during the middle. As the final third sets in, see the freedom of the child become more sparse as sharp anxious sounds and wailing angels cut through and disrupt it, until it fades into nothing and new reality sets in. There is more to learn.

When i bought Ezio Trilogy in 2012... remembering now those great times, the old times, when Assassin's Creed was really Assassin's Creed. I still have those moments in my heart. Now, I turn off my PS4, I go to my room, I watch my PS2 and my PS3 resting, and right now I'm seeing the box of my old but probably one of the most important games in my life: "Assassin's Creed Ezio Trilogy" simultaneously listening to this beautiful song. Like Ezio would say, "Requiescat in Pace" dear PS3 and, also REAL Assassin's Creed.

They were both made for each other. Besides his family, Cristina was the only one who was there for Ezio through everything, and who knew about his father and brothers' murders. I would say the reason why this soundtrack is so good is because it captures a renaissance feel very well and it also plays into the rush of the game well. The tracks that are fast paced match the whole running part in the game and then parts like this match the dungeons (forget what they are called) in the game.

I was just scrolling through PS Plus extra game catalogue on my PS5 and I saw most of the AC titles in there so I decided to start with AC 2 (Since AC 1 is not available on PS4/PS5), and I can't believe how good AC 2 was made for a 2009 title.
